I never read any of his books, but I did enjoy the first few years of ER.
Some of the Jurassic park movies were ok too.

How sad for his family. He was only 66.

Wow, I was just going to say he wasn't very old! That is very sad, my dad really enjoys his books and he provided us some wonderful entertainment throughout his life. He will be missed.

Very sad.

When I read one of his books, I learn so much about whatever technology he is using in the plot!

The Jurassic Park book had tons more stuff in it than the movie--a really great book.

Wow, he wasn't very old.

That is really sad. I read the Jurassica Park books when I was a teen and loved them. I have to say they are much better than the movies for sure!

I just heard this on the radio a little while ago! I guess he had cancer??

Anyway - I read Jurassic Park in Junior High, too and fell in love with his writing. SO much better than the movie.

Sad news. He kept his cancer a secret apparently as no one seemed to know. I'll miss his books - he was very talented.

I hadn't even heard! How tragic!! I, too, love his books -- he was an incredibly gifted writer, and this news makes me sad. :(

I hadn't heard - and have to admit I did a Yahoo search just to make sure. My DH & I both thought he was younger.
We have many of his books, although I have to admit I never read Jurassic Park...

It is a tragedy.
