I FINALLY got a library card last month and am very overwhelmed at what to check out. Do you have any good recommendations for me??
I've already read the Twilight series (since I know that will come up). And I like very "clean" books - I really like Christian fiction or Nicholas Sparks' type fiction.

Hey, Lori, have you read the 'Twilight' series yet?
(ROFL! Ha hah hahahaha!)
Hmm. Recommendations. I really like the "Elm Creek Quilters" novels - there's a bunch of them, and while they sometimes drag a tad, they never fail me. Umm.. I LOVE Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander" series... but they *can* get a bit racy, but they're not in the category of Harlequin romance.
They're very historical, with a lot of fun romance thrown in. What else..... I'm trying to think of my bookshelf....... nothing else comes to mind, right away. I'll keep thinking.

I have to admit, I really liked the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books. I think there are 4 of them. I didn't read them at first because I thought they may seem kid like or whatever but when I began to read them I had to have all of them. I wish the series would continue but I don't think there are any plans to. There are a few scenes in each book that deal with "relationships" but, I don't remember them being too bad.

I scrap with PSE 5 & Vista.

My mom gave me a new book to read last week. It's called "The Shack". She said her best friend recommended it to her, and from what I've read of the cover, it's along the lines of "Five People You Meet In Heaven" by Mitch Albom, which is also a fabulous read.

I liked "THe five people you meet in heaven" book, it makes you think about things. I love "fields of gold" by alexandra ripley, it is a sweet romance but not too racy. They make love, but it isn't in the harlequin romance descriptive story. I have read it several times and read it every year as we drive to the beach for the first time in the summer. I always finish it before we ever get to our destination!!!

The Scrap Girls siggy uses - charisma and skin deep papers
The Teacher siggy uses - school zone and old school kits
THe military siggy uses - scrubbed raw template and TKA combat army collection
THe outlook siggy uses - life canvas collection, hearth word art, charming alpha font, painted plastic styles, school zone and old schoolword art, and earth vessel paper
What I've come up with so far!
