I'm anxiously waiting to hear something on this too. Just got my new laptop and it has Vista, which I haven't even started to get used to yet, beyond the basics. I haven't even figured out how to move things to my EHD yet. But I sure was able to get here ok. My fonts didn't transfer over into CS3, but I do have a folder with all my fonts, so I can load them, I think. I've gotten way too many beautiful fonts and I need a way to manage them. And there are some preloaded ones I'd like to get rid of.

The font thing is a older window95/98 programs that was never updated

I use Amp Font Viewer with our Vista.

Many of newer font programs should work with vista.

I hadn't used the font thing until I read this post back in November. Now I have a Vista LT and I am able to use it on that. I don't know if it has full functionality since I've never used it before but it does open and allow me to type in my sample wording and arrow up & down through the fonts to see what it looks like in each one.

I loved The Font Thing on my old laptop that ran Vista, but my new laptop has Vista 64 bit and The Font Thing does not work. :monstercry:

I found AMP Font Viewer that does almost the same thing as The Font Thing, but I don't know if it's just an adjustment period, but I really miss my Font Thing.
