on my morning walk today i had this thought that i would make a lo without the baby pix in it so i could be ready right after our first grandbaby boy is born...do you think i am crazy????? has anyone ever done that???make a lo before you have the picture and then you can just plop the photo in once you have it and it would be ready to print and frame and give to dd... what do you think?
and links ( maybe one of you own) to an amazing new baby lo i can scraplift
i imagined the title on my walk today..... FIRST BOY(layout) and its double meaning...cause this is the first boy in our family in years....and dd and sil first boy and first child....
thanks for any ideas and thoughts....

I don't think that's crazy! I think it's a great idea. I actually brought my scrapping stuff to the hospital when I had #2 and made a 2 page layout.

Bobbie- I think the idea of making your layouts ahead of time- and then plugging in the photos after his arrival is fabulous! That will give you extra time to spend with your grandson when he gets here!!! Have fun!!

Of course it's a good idea!
You're making your own EZ Page!
lots of designers make fabulous albums like that.
Besides, everyone will really appreciate a page you can produce quickly at the emotional moment.
You're just being forward thinking!

Why don't you get a baby book template? Erica Hite's Baby Book 1 or Baby Book 2 are both great. You could purchase a Baby themed collection. That way you could add the next page easily and you would end up with a coordinated album for the parents!

Bobbie, I've already done 3 LOs for Julianna Kate and she's not due until the end of January. I think your ideas are great. Design your whole album. Other ideas for new baby LOs: Mom's packed suitcase, During labor, checking into the hospital, the waiting room and pacing dads, grandparents, the nursery all ready and waiting, pics of the fetal monitor tracing, Drs. and nurses. Someone just posted a LO, don't remember who, sometime in the last 24 hrs. Here's links to my LOs for Julianna Kate.

It's a great idea to have the layout ready for the first pic. I had a huge list of people who wanted to know when my grandchildren were born. I made an 8 x 8 layout with everything except the stats and pic. I had a special email list ready and waiting. Everyone got the great news with pic and stats before they were an hour old!

Don't think that is crazy at all. I did a quote challenge her one time, without photo's, cause I didn't have any. You will be ahead of the game.
