I cannot wait!!! DH and I have a double-date planned on Saturday night for dinner at Red Robin and the movie. Get this - we're double-dating with his ex wife and her husband. LOL! I passed my Twilight books on to her, and we had made plans to see the movie for a girls' night out. And then our DHs saw the trailer and want in on the fun, too. So a double-date it is! I will have the camera in hand, because a double-date with the ex-spouse? That's a scrap-worthy moment for sure!

Wish my mom luck, as she was the one picked to watch our combined 5 kids while we're all out Saturday night.

So let's see who's going and are you attending any of the many book-store sponsored premiere parties? (I'm not, because Fridays are too hard to coordinate babysitting here.)

I have NEVER been in the same room with my DH's ex and wouldn't want to be. LOL.

Of course as the kids get older I'm sure I will run into her at a wedding or something.

My kids have a whole week off for Thanksgiving so I might go one day then.

I can't wait!!!! I have high expectations for the movie- because the book is so darn good. (The books are always better though.) I'll either be seeing it with my MIL and SIL or DH will take me- either way, I'm gonna go see it sometime weekend!!

I don't know! I liked the books, but when you really think about it, it could be rather graphic and violent on the big screen...

When I read, I read the entire book in just a few sittings. I just can't rest until I know what happens (in any book). This one I read in less than 24 hours. I guess it helped that my computer is in the shop) It was a good book so I will go see the movie, just hope they don't ruin it.

Becca, we are the same way my ex, his wife, my DH and me are together all the time because of the boys. People look at us like we are weird. We even sit together at ballgames sometimes. It is good for the kids to see us get along. It lets them know that we talk and we are all on the same page. The boys are getting older (12) and are trying to pull stuff over on us and with us talking it doesn't work. There are advantages to being friendly.

I'm excited to see it sometime this weekend with dh. With the move, we live a little closer to his parents, so we have willing babysitters! Thank goodness, because I need a break after this week!

We're going on Tuesday (I think).... We were going to go tonight, but I felt bad ditching the boys on someone for the midnight premiere... THen we WERE going to go tomorrow or Saturday, but my brother (who's a funeral director's apprentice) is on body duty (lol - that's what we call his "on call" status). So I just have to wait.

I think Nicole (dd) and I will have to go see it, we've both enjoyed the books, so it could be a good night out for us. I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts though. Nicole's only 11, I hesitated on letting her read the books, but since she was the one asking about them, I decided it was better to have her reading them openly at home so we could keep the channels of communication open, rather than sneaking them at school, where if she asked any questions, I wouldn't be able to give her the kind of answers I want her to hear. I'm not sure what to expect from the movie, I'm a little worried about how much they'll play up some of the romance & violence stuff that I hesitated over in the book.

Yeah, I stay away from Critic reviews too, they are usually off for me. Plus, I think I am just easy to please, there arent very many movies out there that I don't like. Ooooh, I can't wait to go see it. I'm getting impatient now.
