Paper Cards For Christmas?

I want to print out my SG goodies and make cards out of cardstock with my SG elements and stuff. BUT what all do I need to do that? I'm in AK with limited amounts of resources as even Joann's doesn't have a lot of options up here.

What would you suggest for stamps/pens/etc to go along with all my wonderful SG goodies?

Also, do you print your elements papers etc on cardstock and layer it on the cards? I want to be so creative this year, I just dont' know where to start, and time is running out!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

you could always design your cards and print them on 8.5x11 cardstock, then just slice in half and fold. If you want to add some "bumpies" you could always print some alphas and embellishments on cardstock and print out or use real buttons or ribbon and make a hybrid card.

I would play around a little, but keep it simple at first.

Do you have a stash of old paper scrapping supplies? They seem to naturally slide into cardmaking material.

If you can look at some of the "gourmet" cards in the shops, they really don't have much to jazz them up. (Target has some, for example)

Maybe one element on a pop dot for some dimension, and a ribbon marking where 2 colors of paper meet. Actually just another element glued on top - pop dots get you into postage issues if you're not careful.

Or mat one element on colored paper on top of the printout.

a litttle real glitter on top, maybe a gold or silver sharpie, maybe some diamond glaze on one element, and you'd have a very classy card.

the more cards you have to do, the simpler I'd keep them.

have fun!

:)
