I just sent mine in! (Mine is non-holiday too but oh so yummy!) I just love all the recipes from last year! I got myself a little album and filled it up with all these fantastic recipes! I'm going to do the same thing this year! I can't wait to see what yummy goodies I'll be making over the next year! Yippee!!!

Just an FYI about my recipe card. I made the design "non-holiday", because it's a great cookie for any occassion. ;)

Becca, I did the same thing. I was so busy fantasizing about "cookies, candies, anything sweet" that I didn't focus on the holiday! In fact, one looks like summertime 'cause it requires grapes and the Fruit Smoothie collection just fit! B)

I had quite a few pages left empty in the album I bought last year but I'm thinking I'm going to fill those and have to start another one too. ;)

I've been watching for the new recipe challenge and was looking in the wrong forum. Can't wait to share a recipe or two. Most of my December is spent baking cookies and making candy. I can't wait for some new recipes to try.

Oh, boy...I have to tell you all that the best part of organizing this cookie exchange is getting to see the recipe cards first! You all are gonna just love them. Everyone is doing such a fabulous job and the recipes sound so yummy.

If you haven't sent a card in, you still have time! The deadline is this coming Wednesday, December 10 at midnight EST.

Don't miss out!

Phew, just got my one in on time :) mines a good one for any time of year too, but especially used at New year here in Scotland, its traditional to take this and whisky to peoples houses on hogmanay and be the first foot into the house after midnight.

I just got mine done. I am about to send it off. I think that making the card was more work then actually making the cookies. They are called "Jolly Snowman Faces." I made them for the Brownies and Juniors to decorate at the last meeting. Then, I am inviting my Daisies over to decorate their own cookies on the 22nd.

Just sent mine. :)
That was my first recipe card. lol
But now I want to make cards for ALL the recipes I use often or yearly.
I used my handwriting font...makes it seem more like "me."

Just curious...
I printed mine out. I used the options for "borderless 4x6 with tab"...it chopped off a little bit all the way around. So I went back and moved everything in some. Except fot the background, that is. I didnt' know if that would happen to y'all when you go to print it or not...but I didn't like seeing things chopped. lol

Does this happen with y'all too?

Yes it does. Do you have a HP Printer? I gave up and just use the 4x6 with tab not borderless as it works ever so much better! read....less headache trying to figure everything OUT!

Yep...it's an HP Photosmart 8250. The prints look great...but I do have some issues when it comes to the "borderless" feature. lol That was one of the reasons I stopped scrapping 8.5 x 11 layouts. (Plus all the papers are designed square. lol)

I plan to do another recipe card tonight. The one I submitted was actually a cheesecake. So, I felt bad that it wasn't a cookie or such...so I'll submit another one.

Plus, it gives me the "reason" to make another recipe card. I'm gonna get hooked on them. :)

Just sent a 2nd one. :)
A cookie this time.
These recipe cards look soooo much nicer than just my ole handwritten index cards. lol
Even though I'm using my handwriting on them.
So much more interesting to see, though.
:)
Can't wait to see everyone else's...especially the recipes themselves.
