Welcome to Holiday Hoopla 2008! This time of year is packed with holidays and events and traditions galore! It's also time for our most challenging game of the year! This challenge promises to keep you busy all month long. We're going to celebrate the season together here on the Message Board through tasks and challenges focused on holiday and seasonal traditions and of course there will be prizes in store!

Here's the nitty gritty: Every other day (December 1st through December 29th) a Holiday Hoopla 2008 task will be posted in the Message Board Monthly Games folder on the Message Board. If you complete all 15 tasks you'll win a $10 gift certificate to the ScrapGirls Boutique! Also, there will be layouts to complete within these tasks. If you choose to only do the layout tasks, then you are eligible for a $5 Gift Certificate should your layout be chosen as a winner of that particular task.

Read each task carefully and compile all your answers and links into ONE word document and e-mail it to scrapgirlang@gmail.com at the end of the month when you've completed all the tasks. Emails need to be received by December 31st at midnight ET (Happy New Year!). Please put "Holiday Hoopla 2008- Username" in the email subject line.

Ok I just read task #1, So instead of replying to the forum we keep it all a secret until the end of the month? So we use word and then e-mail you at the end of the month, is that right??

yes you keep it in a Word Document until the end of the month then send it in. If there is a layout to do you will post it in the specified gallery. HTH.

That's right Don't post your answers on the board this time. You're compiling all your answers from the month and sending them when the month is over Good luck!

I am going to give it a try, but I may be handicapped when it comes to the layouts. I am a paper crafter just trying to learn digi and I am having trouble with both my printer/scanner and camera. Accurately I have no camera at this time to photograph any layouts. I dropped my camera and it finally died for good last week, can't even download what is on it much less take more pics of layouts. I will still do what I can for the fun of the game.

if that camera has a SD Memory Card or whatnot with the photos on it you can take that out of there and take it to walmart, walgreens or anyplace like that and get the photos printed for yourself. If its the kind that does not have a memory card then I'm truly sorry.

Karen, you should be able to pick up a USB multi-slot card reader for less than $10 at Target, Walmart or any discount store that sells electronics. I've found the cheap ones work just fine. They take just about every card made so you can get your photos off your camera. Sorry to hear your camera is broken.
My father was lamenting that his was stolen with all the photos of his 70th birthday party on them. The other day I was talking to my sister, and she'd copied his camera card that afternoon, so she has all the photos on her computer. The camera was an old one I'd given him anyways. I'm so glad she thought to do that.
