Our son, who is in the Army and stationed at Fort Lewis, will be able to come home for Christmas. This is my Christmas present this year. The ticket cost a small fortune, but worth every penny.
The Christmas will be very special since DS will be deployed this summer. I don't know if his younger siblings understand where their brother will be next year, but hope they cherish the few days with him.
Please pray that our family has a safe, joyous and loving visit.
PS. For all of the other readers. May you and your families have a good Christmas . Especially those who spend their Christmas apart.

That's so great that he'll get to be home for the Holidays. I was stationed at Ftl Lewis for 6 years. Loved it there.

Congrats Michele! Home for the holidays is a wonderful feeling when you are in the service. I remember it very well. Cherish the time and don't forget to take lots of photos to scrap.

That's terrific news.
Give your DS a hug for us, and please thank him for his Service.
We're a couple hours away, if he has a weekend off before deployment and wants a home cooked meal, give me a shout.

My DH and I always loved coming home from the service to be with our familes for the holdays. I hope it is joyous. I cannot express my gratitude adequately for the service men and and women like your son provide. I am grateful for the wonderful gift they give us all. Please give him my thanks.
