12 Days of Christmas Games!
Christmas Tree of Doom!

Posted Image
larger view

Send your guesses for this game to aknussbaum@gmail.com. Use the subject line "Christmas Tree of Doom" for your email entry, and include your messageboard name and real name. Please include the product name and its link for as many items included in this Christmas Tree of Doom as you can find! You have until December 31 at midnight (MST) to enter. So now... here's how this game works:

The Christmas tree card above is made using 14 different papers. The paper designers include:

  • Amanda McGee
  • Amanda Sok
  • Angie Briggs
  • Brandie Valenzuela
  • Brandy Murry
  • Durin Eberhart
  • Jan Hicks
  • Mandy Steward
  • Melissa Anderson
  • Paula Wright
  • Sarah Batdorf
  • Syndee Nuckles
  • Theresa Kavouras
  • Ursula Schneider
The Christmas tree card has 30 embellishments. Those designers include:

  • Amanda McGee
  • Angela Blanchard
  • Ariadna Wiczling
  • Brandy Hackman
  • Brandy Murry
  • Cherise Olson
  • Cheryl Barber
  • Diane Miller
  • Durin Eberhart
  • Erica Hite
  • Gillian Hurst
  • Keri Schueller
  • Kerry Veale
  • Lori Cook
  • Marnie Adams
  • Melanie Johnson
  • Melissa Renfro
  • Robert Schneider
  • Rozanne Paxman
  • Shalae Tippetts
  • Sheri Johnson
  • Syndee Nuckles
  • Thao Cosgrove
  • Theresa Kavouras
  • Trish Yochum
  • Valerie Randall
Now don't panic! You don't have to find them all to play the game. (Whew!) But anyone who DOES get them all correct will automatically win a $10 Gift Certificate! No problem. You've got it. This means more than one person can win a $10 gift certificate. (Anyone this motivated deserves a prize!) The winners of these gift certificates can get in on the rest of the game, too!

For all players:

  • If you get 25 or more correct answers, you will be entered into a drawing for a $25 Gift Certificate!
  • If you get 10-24 correct answers, you will be entered into a drawing for a $10 Gift Certificate!
  • If you get 5-9 correct answers, you will be entered into a drawing for a $5 Gift Certificate!
Does that sound possible? Hope so!

HINTS: The background paper DOES count, and the drop shadows DO NOT count. Everything is very straight-forward: papers and elements only. No brushes, tools, styles, etc. Some designers have more than one element included on this tree!

Even if you aren't up to playing the game, look at the pretty Christmas card that was made for you and see if you can recreate it using your favorite papers and embellishments! Have fun!

You guys do realize that there are more than one chances to win right?

If you get them all, you get a GC automatically

IF you get 5- 9 you could get $5.00 GC
IF you get 10-24 you could get $10.00 GC
If yuo get 25 or more you could get a $25.00 GC

Dont give up so easily, you have till the 31st to get this done. or to at least get 5 done.

I'll give it a try, but I'll probably end up in the cheering section before too long. Today's a good day to try this and some of the other games out there on the board. It's raining, on top of snow and then we're supposed to get some more snow sometime later today here in New York. Good day to stay inside and play games. So to all of you who are playing, good luck and go get 'em. :going-crazy:

I'll give it a try. But it'll have to wait until I have my Christmas cards addressed and my Christmas presents finished...otherwise I'll never get those done. :banghead: Good luck everyone who's braving the TOD this year!!!

Aw come on gals, EVERYONE should be able to get at least 5 things out of 44, right?!:) That probably wouldn't even take too long...
My Christmas cards are calling, but I'll be searching the boutique on my "breaks" from addressing cards.

I worked on the tree when I was pretty new, and it was what hooked me. My husband saw me looking at it yesterday and said, "you're not doing that again are you?" :D

That first year (2006 for me) I was entered in the 10-24 drawing BTW. So don't give up just because you're new!

Angela - if we send our guesses in, will you be able to tell us if any of them are wrong so we get another chance like the other games? I'm just curious ... not anywhere near sending mine in but want to know if I only have one shot :).

Thanks!

I did just a little research. Took me a little while to find my original list. I had to compare it to the tree since my answers weren't all right, but I already had 3 of the collections, I bought two more before the end of that year and 3-4 more fairly soon after. And there's another that I need to go see if it is still in the boutique. How's that?

It IS a tradition, it wouldn't be Christmas without the TOD!! I looked yesterday and am almost through with the embellis, but haven't started on the papers, yet. So far, so good, I am not ready to tear out my hair yet!! It really helps having the designers' names.

Oh tree of doom, oh tree of doom...singing with Janine... :snow_laugh: :xmastree: :snow_laugh:

Heehee, I just know you have reputation as a shopper;)
Btw, it is shocking even to me how many items off this particular TOD I own...and even more shocking that I didn't recognize most of them, lol.

Well I only have one embellishment left to find, and of course I have no idea who made it (must be one of those who have more than 1)...argh!
Papers I've barely started on, but since it seems there is one per designer I have high hopes that I can figure them out.
