I finally got my dark chocolate brown silk drapes for the dining room. I love them! BUT, suddenly my Chistmas decorations look a little "off".

Any of you have great ideas for Christmas decor that can incorporate deep brown? My rug has sage green, burgundy, oatmeal and blue in it.

Looking forward to your ideas:)

I love champagne colored ornaments and decor. You could pair them with pink champagne or a forest green, either of which would be really pretty. Gold accent would add a nice touch, but I wouldn't be too heavy with it. I'm planning on doing my living room in greens and browns next year so I might have to take my own advice. :)

Have fun!

I agree with Zaz.
Some champagne colored ornaments would be brilliant!
Also, I would add gold and burgandy.

My house is very nautical with lots of blue so I know how you feel - red and green doesn't work. I use white, gold, and pale blue a lot. Fortunately living in Florida a lot of the stores sell Santas in swimsuits riding dolphin so it's gotten easier to decorate over the years.

Copper is a great idea! It never crossed my mind -- I like the idea of the champagne color, too, as my DR set is a pale wood tone. Now you all have me thinking of a deep brown runner with champagne and coppery colored ornaments and evergreens.....

Sounds like it is going to be lovely! I have decorations that are sooo non-traditional. :D

I use brown, green and copper. Add sometimes I add in a little gold. My walls are spicy nutmeg (translation: burnt orange) and my floors are dark brown bamboo. Everyone that comes in loves the color combo. This is a new color combo for me this year and I need to pick up more ornaments.

These all sound like wonderful color combinations - I know your decorations will be beautiful with your decor. Only thing though, it reminds me how "uncoordinated" my Christmas decorations are with my overall decor!
