My GD, Bailey, (see her here Bailey) entered a writing contest with a short story. Its a national PTA program. Anyway, she won first place for the school district 5th grade and is now moving up to state. This is the first contest she entered and so a 1st place is a huge celebration for us. She is a very creative girl and she loves to write. She started on the school newspaper this year and loves it. She's starting to think of a career in journalism. This is a great start. I'm just so proud of her!
