Mommyof4
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this....... I am thinking of buying a Canon Powershot SX10 IS but I read in some reviews that it is difficult to get pictures into Photoshop without using the Canon software that comes with the camera. Is this true? Does anyone have experience with this camera and let me know. Also, how do you like this camera? (I have PSE 4) Thanks!
Becca
I had the step-down model of that camera, and I never had to install the Canon software. Worked just fine for me without it. Hope that helps.
PBarnes
I don't have a Canon camera, but what OS are you using, Vista or XP? Vista downloads photos directly or through PSE pretty well for my Kodak camera. Kodak has it's own software too but I don't install it. It's very annoying. April Showers
I have a different Canon camera (a little power shot) and I just plug in the camera and it shows up as a drive on my computer. I copy the photos into the folders I want using windows explorer. I've never installed the Canon software either.
April Showers
But then, I never take anything right off my camera into Photoshop, I always just copy them into folders. It does come up as an option though, to open them with Photoshop.
