I've been having a great time shopping and picking things out for my bathroom. I took down the pretty Raffaello Sistine Madonna border to repaint the walls. While the walls are going to remain white, I intend and hope I have enough of the same border to put back up (I simply adore it completely. My bathroom is really small and although I do have a linen closet in there, I had no place to keep anything on in there that could be left out in the open. I got a nice white space saver that goes over the toilet, putting it together proved to be a task in itself, ha ha. I started painting in there today and opted to paint the ceiling as well. A chip in the sink was easy enough to fix rather than attempting to replace the sink thanks to something called "Porc-a-fix". It worked out rather well actually and was cheaper than replacing it by far. I got some new floor covering, you'll have to see what is in this bathroom at this time to understand the importance of getting rid of it. Ha ha! Very ugly and has probably been the only thing covering the floor since this place ever came to exist! Yes, it's really that ugly! Side note: The same thing was in the kitchen and it has been redone completely for a while now - I should really dig up those before and afters! Scary scary thought! Back to the bathroom now? Yes, lets! LOL! I got something very pretty to cover the floor and it's nice and light and pretty too! I have a huge mirror in my bathroom that overhangs what is supposedly a medicine cabinet. A medicine cabinet with no doors to hide things away, a medicine cabinet that just has to go as soon as possible. I had fun checking out the ones they had in Home Depot and while none really caught my eye as far as medicine cabinets go, I found this mirror in there that truly inspired me. It inspired me so much that the "medicine cabinet" will be gone hopefully by tomorrow night and the huge mirror will be taken down temporarily and get a nice face lift. Frosting some angels onto a mirror will be my first attempt and if I mess it up, then it's off to buy the one that really inspired me to even try it. LOL! I'm not saying I'm planning on making any purposeful mistakes by any means. Really can't afford to right now so a face lift on the mirror I have for now would work for me. I have cherub angels for a soap dish, toothbrush holder, toilet brush holder and soap dispenser. Haven't been able to find the matching shower curtain or the matching garbage can either, but I refuse to give up looking too! I have the cherub shower curtain rings and they are always pleading with me to compliment them better with the proper shower curtain. Ha ha. Towel bar, hand towel ring etc. - they went bye bye for now and they will stay gone until I get the ones I want. I prefer these to compliment my sink and tub fixtures. I'm being very picky I know, especially for it just being my bathroom right? LOL! I took before pictures of the bathroom that I hated going into and can't wait to get to take the after pictures. Although it will be a while before it is all the way done to the way I want it due to cost etc, I will have to share a bit of a sneak peek before then I'm sure. I've been having the time of my life within a tiny bathroom! Who would have thought that doing something for ME would be so much fun!
I forgot to add too that the light switch cover plate already got a temporary face lift. I used a piece of the border that I took down and recovered the double switch plate and it actually turned out kind of nice. It will do until I can find that as well. I already have one but it's in my bedroom and that's where it's staying,

. LOL!
I also forgot to add that I have this trio of candles that my mother had given me a while ago (I never lit them because they are more decorative than the use me type) and I plan to add them to one of the shelves after printing some cherubs on some vellum to wrap them in.

I also got a very small battery operated Tranquility fountain to put on one of the shelves and a bottle with some sand and shells that the children collected at the beach last summer that I'm going to make a label for and sit on one of the shelves too. Thought that would add a nice touch in there since that day is such a beautiful memory.
