Alright girls! I signed back up for WW online today and I have already found one of the things that is sabotaging my weight loss. Snacks... What low point finger food type snacks do you ladies pick? The difference for me this time from the last time I was on WW is I am home all day instead of being at work. It seems as I am getting older I find myself getting more uhm...monthly cravings than I use to and I need to find low point alternatives to my current choices. I need your help! TIA!!

DH and I are doing WW again too. I am home but he takes his lunch every day. I cut enough carrots, celery, cuke and other veggies for the week. He takes lowfat cream cheese mixed with herb blend to spread on the veggies. We also eat whole grain flat bread and triscuts (good fiber) with the cream cheese. The herb blends are all natural and I get it from Wildtree herbs. They do home parties but are geared toward people with food allergys.

I did carrots today...I need to go shopping now that I have signed back up and get more veggies and stuff. I basically blew today totally because we changed our plans and had Sonic for dinner. I didn't even think or I would have gotten a salad from there instead of a burger! Duh!!!! Oh well, tomorrow is another day!

apples, bananas, grapes, fruit smoothies, good chips and salsa, dark chocolate squares (seems to cut those cravings big time!!!) yogurt, granola with yogurt, oatmeal with blueberries, veggies with some dip, turkey sandwiches, fish or chicken wraps. Umm, that was some quick and easy ones I could think of. If I can't make it in a few minutes, I am less likely to fool with it. HTH

I've been stocking up on these little bars from Safeway. They are nutrition bars from their brand 'Eating Right.' They come in all sorts of flavors, taste good, and are only 1 point each.

There are lots of 0-1 pt veggie or fruit snacks (those are easy to come by), and while I do enjoy those, I like knowing lots of low point non-veggie or non-fruit ideas that I can have too. Especially my husband...he likes to snack a lot so I've helped him find options.

Anyway, my all time favorite snack is about half of a serving Wheat Thins Fiber Selects 5-grain crackers (which is 6.5 crackers) and a light Laughing Cow swiss cheese wedge. There's something I enjoy about the the process of spreading cheese on crackers. :) Anyway, that snack is 2 pts -- 1 for the crackers and 1 for the cheese wedge.

Other favorites of mine & my husband:

I LOVE homemade tortilla chips...two corn tortillas are 1 pt...cut into 8 wedges that's 16 chips! Bake in the oven until crisp and use for salsa. You can also scoop/dip salsa with raw carrot chips or celery.

Frigo light string cheese is 1pt

A whole mini bag of 94% fat free (100 calorie) microwave popcorn are 1 pt.

Dannon "Light & Fit" yogurt (4oz) = 1pt

Jello Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding Cups = 1pt

Curves Chocolate Peanut Chewy Granola Bar = 1pt

I really love Thomas' Light Multi-Grain english muffins, they are 1 pt and you can add a 0pt jam or jelly or the other day I added 1Tbl weight watchers cream cheese to each one and if I remember right that was 1 pt...so 2 pts total for english muffin with cream cheese.

I also keep Progresso light soups (0-1 pt per serving) on hand...for me these are usually something I might have as part of dinner or lunch, but I like having them around and they could be a light, easy-to-fix, snack.

I have others that I have enjoyed, but these seem to be the ones I keep coming back to often.

The progresso soups and some of the campbell's select are one point for half the can and taste good. I like to add apples to half of a flat-out wrap with turkey to it. To get a meal and stay around five points. Also, adding different spices, curry, cumin, or red pepper to some stuff made it taste so much better and not "diet". I don't know what the point value is to feta cheese, but it is awesome to add to salads or a wrap!!! Gives it a little kick of flavor and you don't need to add salad dressing.

Carrots!!

My doctor has me on a 21-day cleanse/detox....so I am eating, ONLY fresh/frozen fruits and vegetables and chicken or fish. I've eaten a lot of carrots!! LOL!! We have some great oranges on hand, but I have found I like Gala apples. I've never liked apple peel (or any peel for that matter-it just bothers my teeth) but I can eat Gala apple peels, they aren't as thick as red delicious. (that's right, no dairy, no processed food...)

The biggest help has been to cut up everything at once. We make a huge salad with green leaf lettuce, cauliflower, onion, pepper, cucumber, carrots......celery-anyway-if we do that once, it's a great go to snack or it's simple to pack it for lunch. What we don't use in the salad, we keep in ziploc bags in the fridge.

WW has some great frozen treats, in fact, my kids eat them before I do when I buy them!!

I am loving the kellogs brand fiber bars. They are 3 points, my favorite are the peanut butter and chocolate. Out of all the brands I think the Kellogs taste best.

Oh if you love omelets, use the egg whites with 1 egg. You can made a huge omelet for less than 5 points (depends on how much cheese you add.

How many of you have tried Veggie Staws. You can buy them at any grocery store but the ones you buy at Costco taste the best. They taste like potato chips/ french fries and you get a ton for a serving of 3 points.

Recently discovered BK diet orange soda. Its the store brand at Frys (Kroger). It tastes as good as non-diet, as good as the Sunkist soda and there is no caffeine.

I made the weight watcher's no point Veggie soup, I do a large batch of it and then eat a mug full when I start to feel really famished. Isn't that bad cold either.

Hungry Girl/ fiber one yogurt is 0 points for a cup of yogurt.
50 cal, 0 fat, 5 fiber.

I'm really picky about my yogurt and these pass my test.
