BOM Challenge 2!

ScrappingForever

Recommended Posts

Finally! It's been a crazy time around, but I am finally settling down a bit, so wanted to squeeze this in here. For the next few months, I'm going to be using some BOM Challenges that Jill Jones-Lazuka posted at The Gifted Note. These are such wonderful challenges, and she put such a lot of time and research into them, that I decided to use them hre, too, (with Jill's permission, of course) instead of reinventing the wheel.

So, without further ado, here's our next challenge:

What’s In A Name?

Here are some thoughts and ideas to help you design a LO about your name.

Check out: www.namestusa.com
You can:
∙ use your search results just as they are formatted on the site
∙ cut printed info into or journal onto strips of paper
∙ write info on tags

Think about, then journal:
How do you feel about your name?
Why did your parents chose that name for you?
Do you think the meaning of your name is true for you? Why or why not?

These thoughts can be written down just as they come to mind, or if it fits your personality, try one of these formats:
∙ write an info-mercial
∙ try poetry forms such as an acrostic or haiku
∙ compose an email or telegram to relay your thoughts

Is your name found in a song?
If so, use the lyrics and/or printed music either as background paper or as accent blocks.

~*~ Use It Up Tip~*~
This is a great theme to use up all those alphabet odds and ends you may have whether as little beads or other embellishments. Also, stamps work great for this theme, too.

Enjoy, and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's LOs, mine, too! ;)

No song Vee, no poem, nothing!
My name is not even a common one here in Ireland, you won't find it in any book of names!! (Not even irish versions)
Just as well I know what it means!! LOL!!

Maybe I'll have to make something up!? :o

I love the name Breeden, but feel so bad;
No other with your name does anyone have.
Noone can take it and make it thier own,
It is truly yours and yours alone.
I could borrow it for abrief moment in time,
But I have a name of my own that truly is mine.
No you don't know me but together we're scrapgirls,
Is that the corners of your mouth that are beginning an upward curl?

Okay, I truly do love your name so when I saw this, I just simply couldn't resist trying to put a bit of a smile on your face. :)
