I guess I will be going with a separate scanner VS AIO....

After excitedly posting recently about my HP AIO find, getting a top of the line unit for more than $200 off, I must admit I had to send it back :banghead: The printer had beautiful print outs and it even scanned wonderfully, but it would only scan one picture and then freeze up PC - I uninstalled and reinstalled so many times. I finally realized I was trashing my new PC and knew it wasn't worth it... :monstercry:

Then I spent days researching other units out there, without knowing quite what I wanted besides an excellent scanner, so I had to re-read some threads here and rethink it all...

....and since I love the print outs on my Epson 1400 for photos and scrapbooking, I will keep the old HP 3210 AIO for every day printing and copying and will purchase a nice stand-alone-scanner, as I am undertaking the task of converting boxes of photos to digital for scrapping and will reprint and want the best possible results...

And so 3 1/2 years ago, when I decided to replace an every day printer and a photo printer and a scanner with just one unit, I now see I am going backwards to the very same set up :disappearing-smilie:

So now I am open to scanner suggestions - years ago I iked the One-Touch, but imagine there are now much better units out there - suggestions??

THANKS!
