I'm hopeful that since we haven't heard from you, you are really BUSY with your new little sweetie! Praying all is well!

My son was 2 weeks overdue in a very snowy winter with a possible nurse's strike in the making. Thankfully the nurses didn't strike although I got stuck with a "cheerleader" type that I could have strangled. Luckily a nurse more my type came on board at the end and helped set the stage for the doctor to deliver a 11 lb baby boy (not C-section, everyone asks me that). Then while departing the hospital my hubby almost slipped on ice while holding our son and trying to get him in the car seat for the first time. But the best thing is that he was a healthy baby and just turned 13 and the joy of our life.

Hope this story at least makes you laugh, not sure how helpful it is otherwise. Hang in there and best wishes to you.

Adding my prayers to the long list above ~ my little DD was 9 days late and I remember how hard the waiting was. But I'm guessing that your waiting may be over. Good luck and God bless! Can't wait to see a pic of the new little one!

My first was born on her estimated due date which was accurate based on charting I was doing. My second was "overdue" 7 days when I reluctantly agreed to be medically induced, but I had gotten pregnant with her while breastfeeding and having had only a few very irregular cycles, so who knows how accurate her dates were. My third was born at home 14 days after his estimated due date (and conceived in similar circumstances as my middle child), and my only concern while waiting for his birth was that my midwife was about to leave the state to be with her daughter who was also about to give birth! I have come to believe that estimated due dates are just that--estimated--and just as children walk and talk at different ages, some need less time in the womb and others need more.

I remember being impatient too. It's like time slows down so much in the last few weeks of pregnancy! But then it speeds up after the baby is born! Happy babymoon!

Sending you warm fuzzy thoughts, Jen. Mine were rather early and I never got to experience the waiting. I can imagine though. Hoping for some beautiful pics of a healthy bundle of joy.

Had 4 great kids (23, 21, 19. 16) and only the first was early. The other 3 were all causing a threat of inducing in the morning. But they all came without. While it is kinda hard as the mom to be toting around the little one, you may be able to take this time to rest. Take advantage of the time and work on the details important to you while you can. Hope you can see it as a blessing.

Trying for 200 by the end of the month. And still hope for some encouragements, too?
