Scanner For Slides And Negatives?

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking about getting a scanner for slides and negatives. I read someone's post about the Epson V500. It's a little high for me, does anyone know anything about the Epson V300?

I've asked HP if there is an adapter for my HP Photosmart C4440 to scan slides and negatives. The first few times the answer was yes, the next two were no, and now they just keep going back and forth.

Hmmmm....I don't know much about much. I do have an Epson NX400, which I love....but I haven't scanned slides and negatives since I was managing a photo lab a few years ago. I know that the scanner I used then was an Epson, and I had a lot of fun doing it. This is no help whatsoever, lol....but at least I can bump this to try to get someone else's attention. Good Luck Jennifer!

I've got the Epson V500 and am totally satisfied with it. I settled on that one because I think it has the biggest bang for the buck. I think the digital ice feature is amazing and its not too big and bulky and does everything I ask of it. and then some. I don't remember now why I didn't go with the V300. There must have been a good reason. Sorry I can't help you with that.

I have seen a small scanner meant just for scanning slides and negatives but I don't know who manufactures it. It's only $99. I just did a Google search and found that Hammacher Schlemmer and Sharper Image carry them. I would expect that it would be a decent product coming from one of those retailers.
