For a long time, I have carried around notebooks so I could record ideas of things that I want to photograph and/or scrap. Little moments or objects that happen once or happen regularly. Quotes that I read or hear on the radio. Observations from children. Colours.

I know from many discussion threads that is something many of us do - a collection of things to get to 'someday'. This year, I have been doing the SG 52 Challenge and it has emphazied how important that those tidbits (to quote Angela, who has been offering weekly tidbits of inspiration) can be.

It occurred to me this morning that could be a fun game AND a source of shared inspiration. Anyone want to play?

I'll start with ...

Someday I want to scrap ... thoughts on pictures I wish I had taken

I'll play along. I certainly have plenty of things I want to scrap.

Someday I want to scrap -- pictures of my older children that have to be scanned alongside pictures of their children doing similar things.

I took my nephew to a movie tonight and he told me three things he has 'always' wanted to to do (he is 8) - skydive, play paintball with a monkey, and ride a roller coaster with a goldfish. Not sure what inspired those choices but it reminded me that

Someday I want to scrap a bucket list.

I saw a page in a magazine once that was of all the contents of her purse with an explanation of why she carried those things. I'd like to do that someday. I like pages explaining those everyday things in our lives.

That's a cool idea, Grace.

I read an article about decluttiering that suggested taking pictures of things' that we keep because of the story.

Someday, I'd like to scrap the story of some of my questionable 'treasures' Maybe then I'll be able to give away (or throw away) the accumulated stuff.

Great idea, Sandi! A month of stories. That would be a fun one to develop. Hmm....

And on a related note,

Someday, I'd like to scrap accumulated pictures of classes that I have taught.

Over the years I have been able to part with a number of "treasures" because of photos I've taken.
I need to do a batch again!
I first read about this idea in Gail Sheehy's Passages (or maybe Pathfinders, the second one).
Maybe we need a Scrap Girls Clutter Releasing Support Group!!!
We could encourage each other to bless and let go things that once had meaning.

I am working on my DH to get him to "let's renew our wedding vows" and i want to do it big time because our original wedding was quite small and although it is scrapped, I want so much to scrap the renewal of our wedding vows - since we are approaching 44 years, I think it is time to think about it because I want my Dad who is now 93 to actually give me away at this ceremony. He didn't at the first because it just was not that formal a ceremony and I was very young and in tears throughout the whole ceremony (happy tears)
So, that is what I want to scrap - when it happens - and it will - one day. And you're all invited too! And you had better come! What fun would it be without my SG friends?

Reading your posts is causing me to add to my list... and that's a good thing, I think.

Someday I want to [digi] scrap my experiences as a camp counsellor/ director (more than 10 years -- can you believe it?)

I want to scrap my wedding photos. There aren't very many except for the professional ones but I really, really want to get this done. It's been hard trying to find the right layouts and supplies for this project because our colors were green and gold and there aren't many green and gold items out there that look good on a wedding layout. So I'm think simple, simple, simple. I don't really want to make them B&W. Since it's our 40th anniversary this September, I should probably get going on this one! :o
