Join Laurel (laurellakey) and Janine (J9Buckles) for a National Scrapbooking Day Sketch Crop Challenge! We'll meet in the chat room for some fun while we scrap... or just have fun even if we don't scrap!

A sketch is an image that gives you ideas for placing the elements of your layout; your photo(s), embellishments, journaling, title etc. You can follow the sketch exactly, rotate it, flip it or use it as inspiration for your own creation! The sketch will be posted a few hours before the crop so you can get a head start. We look forward to seeing you there!

Oh my goodness!!!! I just woke up.

I guess late-night scrapping isn't a good idea the night before hosting a morning crop. I was hoping to get this link up for you earlier so you could get a head start but that obviously didn't work so here it is now:

I couldn't get into the chat on my laptop in this restaurant, but I made a page with the sketch and will try to upload it now!

Missed the chat, but picked up the sketch! Awesome sketch, Janine!

And, after looking at Laurel and Janine's take on the sketch, I have decided that they are like Ginger and MaryJane on Gilligan's Island in their approach ... and Janine is NOT Ginger (sorry, girlfriend). Love both of the styles ... and both of their layouts. :toot:

I realized I had to give credit to the sketch for a layout I did tonight. lol
There were too many "similarities" to me for it not to have been inspired by the sketch.

I'm here to say I did NOT get my LO done...too much time spent with the prom kids tonight (and didn't get my LO inspiration until late. Maybe I'll post it tomorrow. I'm having fun with this sketch!

I didn't quite make the deadline but that's okay . . . what was fun about this is that I didn't even see the challenge until about 45 minutes ago! I'm the poster child for slow scrappers. . . they have my picture next to the word SNAIL in the dictionary and I still managed to get the sketch downloaded, pick a photo, pick papers and embellies and get it scrapped and loaded ALMOST in time! Yee-haw!
