Which do you usually use? All one kit or do you pick and choose from several? I've never used entirly one kit and in fact most of my supplies aren't even organized by kits, but I know many do like to use a kit so everything matches. Thoughts?

I don't know how to answer! I usually start with a kit, with most of my supplies from that one. I love how kits give me instant complimentary colors and embellis. But I usually run to other kits or embellishment templates to add the finishing touches - to complete a theme.

Well, so I voted for bit o' everything.

I'm like Elisha. I start with one kit and then build from there.

I normally do layouts with pieces from a lot of collections but I found that while I was without my Organizer, I tended to stick with one collection per layout because it was faster to find things that way.

I love to look at my whole collection, but I believe I only have 1 LO made of just one collection (my EHD with all my supplies crashed last summer, leaving me with only the most recent SG Club Collection on my laptop.) I really enjoyed the challenge of it.

Here's my LO: It's a girl thing
(made entirely with Angie Briggs' His and Hers Club Collection)

Same as Elisha said - usually start with one kit, then go looking if I need something else.

I might start with a kit, but then branch out. I will often look at the designer's other kits for coordinating colors (Brandy Hackman is great like this, but I imagine they all are--I can think that Angie Briggs' things are often interchangeable as are Amanda McGee's)

I start with a photo and a color, and then find stuff that goes with my idea.
I have not done many LO's with only one kit...

I like the kits and having everything coordinated. I think because I have ADD I have a hard time visualizing things that go together and I get overwhelmed with "mind clutter" and give up. So kits make it easy for me to put layouts together.

generally, I think I do it like Elisha as well, but then I keep finding something here, there or somewhere else. I did a LO recently Where I started with one kit and then ended up using the majority from another. Sometimes I just stick with one. Just depends on what mood I'm in.

I usually pick one kit as my main kit, then grab bits from other kits. I have too many supplies to know everything I have. I usually end up searching for things such as "Red Ribbon" or "Leaf" to see what else is available though. :D

I start with one kit and then add from others as needed for 12x12 layouts.

For my recipe cards, which are 4x6, I've been forcing myself to stay in just one kit per card. I'm liking the "unified" results better in the smaller format, and I'm learning my supplies better, too.

I usually use multiple kits. I have a few LOs where I only used one, but mostly they were for challenges or some specific purpose.

I consider myself a beginner. I usually use one kit. I might throw in something like an alpha or a freebie from somewhere once in a while.

Ok-I start with one collection and use mainly things from this kit. However, I usually end up looking for embellies elsewhere. So, which is the correct answer??

I don't think I have ever completed a layout with only one collection! I started from the beginning breaking them up as Ro's 15 Things organizational method suggested... and only recently started keeping collections together at all! I think I got up to using 15 different products/collections one time :D I love to mix and match!

I do a mix of both. Sometimes it seems a collection has everything I need for a particular layout and other times, I need to hunt for what I want and even have been known to buy :jawdrop: something in the boutique. GASP!!!............. ........... I know can you believe it?

Sometimes I do a LO using a whole kit, but more often I do the mix and match thing. When we get a new club kit, I usually end up doing one using everying from the club.

I usually start with a photo, then choose a paper. From there, I may go to the collection it came from, or I may go look at elements that fit. At that point, if I need anything else, I might go back to the "main" collection to see if there are other matching things that fit. However, sometimes just as a personal challenge, I do restrict myself to just one kit.

So, I think the answer is: There is no correct answer!

I'm definitely a kit scrapper at heart. I occasionally pull certain elements like stitching or buttons from other kits, but generally I like to use the same kit.

I like the BUY by the kit because it's nice to have things that will definitely coordinate, not to mention more bang for the buck, but then everything gets sorted into type and color files so I can work by themes and colors, not kits, when I actually create pages. Odd, though, now that I think about it, I'm more likely to paper-scrap from a particular kit but not digi-scrap by one. Huh...

I love to buy kits for the bargain & knowing that I definately have things that coordinate. That said, I rarely scrap a layout with just one kit. Actually, I don't think I ever have done one with just one kit. That might be a good challenge idea if it hasn't already been done. I don't know how I'd manage though because I usually split my kits up once I unzip them. I organize my digi stuff like I do my regular scrapping stuff - keeping like items together, papers, templates, etc. I do see how keeping it all together in the kits would make it faster to put things together though...

I split up kits when I download them and organize them in categories such as alphas, backgrounds, ribbons, buttons, tags, etc. I don't think I've ever used only items from one kit. Furthermore, I often don't buy whole kits, sometimes wanting only the alpha, or only the elements.
