I am beginning to think this site also reads minds. I have never seen this forum until now of course when I need it. As if I needed another reason to love this place.

These LO are going in a book together side by side. I like them, but don't love them. I have spent a ton of time trying to decide what in the world they are missing. I feel they are almost too "busy" to add more. Unfortunately, I do not want to change them too much as this is supposed to be a quick project.

Here are the new versions. I love them and thank you all!! A little bit of LOVE goes a LONG way around here. Now if I can just figure out how to edit posts and whatnot as I have also posted this as a reply!

:clapping_kitty: I think they are GREAT the WAY THEY ARE. . .Perhaps if you want to ADD SOMETHING. . .You could add small BRADS or FLOWER BRADS or maybe A RIBBON to "ANCHOR" the page. . .Just a sugg. as I am a "NEWBIE" I'm not sure if ANYONE would AGREE with ME. . .JUST A THOUGHT. . .Hugs, Debi :clapping_kitty:

Erin you sure have been busy on these pages. Doesn't look to quick to me. Would have taken me ages to do these! I was looking at them seeing what else you perhaps could do and maybe if you actually put a small white stroke around each photo just so they pop out that little bit more. Again this is only a suggestion. Love the colour mix!

They are beautiful, love the colors. Here is my first thought, if you want to do something. The first thing I thought when i saw them was "quilt." Maybe you could add some texture with a fabric template, or maybe some stitching.

It would be fun to run over it with a dynamic stitching brush "freestyle" in a neutral color, then add a stitch style to give it some texture and depth.

I'm gonna get you some product links to show you what I mean.. brb.

ScrapSimple Paper Templates: Dyed Fabric 1
you could place the template over your layout, and play with the blend modes to give your whole layout a fabric-y look.

Dynamic Brush Set: Stitching 6401
Love these. The stitches follow the direction of your mouse/pen.

ScrapSimple Tools - Styles: Stitching And Holes 4102
Apply the style to your stitching to give it depth and texture.

these are cool. My first thought was similar to Ngaire's....stroke the photos to help them stand out. But if you're looking for a "cleaner" look, on the girly page, I'd decrease the opacity of the background letters and maybe brighten up the photos a bit. Then the photos would pop out and the words would be a backdrop. On the boy page, zooming in on the bottom photo a bit and brightening it would help it be in balance with the others. I like the brightness of the words on that one....doesn't compete.

Those are my thoughts. I like Elisha's idea of stitching if you want to go that way. And a title in similar font/alpha on each page could be good too.

Hope you find what you're looking for. These are really cute!

I agree with Debbie and Ngaire's ideas.
When I look at the layouts my eyes are drawn to parts other then the pictures.
Adding a stroke to the pictures or even a doodle type frame would help to put the focus back on the pictures :)
These are great layouts though

What great background paper you made! I like the idea of the stroke about the photos- just so they pop a little more. Maybe since they are going together, you could put a ribbon across both pages to tie them together visually? Great job!

Love it so far. I also agree with Ngaire and Kim. Adding a stroke around the photo's will help lift them off the background paper, so that they can stand out more. Looks good.

You guys really hit the nail on the head! The pictures totally get lost and adding something to them is the perfect solution....I also like the idea of some stitching and brushing. I am going to play around and will let you know how it goes. So excited thanks for the feedback that was exactly what I needed! You all rock!

Ok...for all you wonderful imagination sparkers (I make up my own words-BTW) I hope this makes you proud. Considering time is ticking and I have just like a week to finish this album I hope these small touches will suffice. I officially love the LO now and have you all to thank for it! Your the best.

Great, much better. The white grunge around the pictures and the paper makes the pictures stand out more. Great job.

The frames help immensely and the white edging is great too. Nice additions that let your sweet photos shine! Great job.
