I have tried to add a few embellishments to this page, but everything just looks "fake". I'm trying to keep the focus on the picture.....what do you think? I also tried to 'blend' the horizon line more with the bg paper, but that didn't look right, either.

Any thoughts? Or do you think it's okay as is?

Thanks!

P.S. We took the 6th grade girls to the beach this weekend for their graduation trip and I took this picture.

My first thought was to use something kind of like Slice It Up to break up the girls, the beach and the water/sky.... Or maybe bring the picture in from the edges, add a background paper of some sort and put a frame around the picture? Or you could just put a frame around all the girls... Hum... I'll keep thinking on this.

(I think that using it as a slide, though it may not need much else. )

One quick thing, though - make sure you go look at these in slide show format before you show them to everyone - sometimes colors don't look the same (or don't show up at all) on projectors. :) That's just a hint from someone who has had that happen before.

Thanks, Lori - that's my NEXT project as soon as I get these LOs done - I definitely need to do a test run. The good thing is, though, that I plan to give each girl a DVD of the slideshow, so maybe even if it's not all that GREAT on the screen, they will be able to see it at home.

Debbie - thanks for the CC - no, I don't have either of those collections....I'll have to think about getting one or the other maybe. Right now I'm probably going to leave it 'as is' so I can keep working on the rest of the pages - thanks so much for taking the time to look and comment. I know what you're saying about how the paper doesn't have the same 'realness' as the picture... then I looked at it some more and thought, "It's almost like they're looking at the future, which hasn't happened yet, so it's been 'drawn' in" - does that make sense? LOL maybe I'm just justifying the paper - haha

Thanks, ladies - that's kind of what I thought, too - it just didn't 'need' anything else or it would distract from the photo too much. I appreciate all your comments!
