So I did this LO for my mom and sister as my sister is graduating soon.
To provide a little background. My mother didn't order grad pictures yet. What I have are proofs. I've managed to erase the junk they put on the proof to make a decent picture for the mean time. I created the LO which I thought turned out extrmemly well. I was inspired by the new Graduation Photo Cards in the boutique.

So mom emails me and tells me .... I don't like it!
"I don't like the flowers and I don't like the brackets around 2009."
Wellllll the grad pictures were taken with the ugly yellow roses, not my choice .. they should have been red as school colors are maroon. Aslo the cap should have been maroon. It is in my grad pictures LOL

Anyways I'm a little upset so I've turned to my fellow SG'ers for some input. ...
What would you change?
I was thinking about going home and seeing if i could make those yellow roses to be red roses that might look a little better and take some focus away from the flowers and put it back on my sister.

Mom hates it ... do you?

So I came home and re-worked this LO. I used a different Grad pic .. one without the flowers...
The flowers were brought by the photographer and all the grads had their picture taken with them ... not my choice of color .. red roses would have been much better!
Anyways here's the Second Edition

Thanks Ladies
Also thanks Kelly! I'm gonna go home and play with some of that .. i never thought about the name before.
My concern is that the name of the school is too long.. maybe i could cut it down to FWJ or just use FW Johnson?
I was also thinking of grabbing my HS year book and scanning the schools logo mascot in to make a graphic ... i can't find anything online
i'm gonna need a few things if i'm going to make her a mini grad album

personally, I would tell your mom if she doesn't like she is welcome to make a better one herself.
Oh wait, that would be disrespectful......nevermind.

LOL, Michelle! Sometimes I don't think people realize how much time and effort we put into our digital scrapping.

I agree with Michelle, tell mom to try to make it herself. I think you did a great job, and what do moms know anyway. LOL

LOL, I was thinking along these same lines. I truly don't think people realize how much work goes into the scrapping.

lol agreed! My mom hardly knows how to check her emails!
I totally gave her a piece of my mind ... told her she's got no clue how much thought and work goes into one layout .. finding exactly the right things to go with it and so on... each page is a little work of art that comes from the heart! humm notice the art in heART ;)

YES YES I do I do. . .I have "worked" on a layout for 8 hrs choosing, picking, pouring to get everything JUST right (only family has seen my "work"). . .I think we should change the term Layout to Loveonly ("lo" ) because it is. . .Love the only thing we have to give. . .But with this "gift" we have given you everything we have. . .

I'm sorry that your mom has hurt your feelings! My choice would be your first one!!!!! I really like the overall look! It is wonderful!

I'd pick the one the grad liked most!

I do happen to like the second one better. Left you some love. Although, I do have to agree with Glorie about going with the one the grad likes best. :D

They are both great, but I really love the second one more.
