Task #3

I finally finished my LO for Task 3. Don't know if I'll be able to keep this up. My computer is still struggling when I'm scrapping. I'm working on the problem and it's getting a little better. Needs some more work though.

Here's my LO...Amazing Stories

TASK #6

Got my walk in with my camera today. DH and I walked our fence line first checking for downed lines from lightning/wind damage from the storm last night. We noticed one tree split in half. Fortunately it fell right over the fence instead of right on it. We were lucky. Took lots of pics and then we walked the hill. Lots more pics of flowers in neighborhood yards and wilds along the way. Love the honey bees that burrowed right down in the center of the flowers and just rolled around in delight. Hope the pic turned out. Haven't cleared the memory card of new pics yet.

Task #7 completed

I had a busy day and didn't get a chance to take a photo walk until the evening, just around my yard. Here's a wildflower I discovered at the corner of my porch.

I fabulized the photo by lightening it, increasing the contrast, cropping it following the rule of thirds, and framing it with a stroke of purple sampled from the flower itself.

Task 7

Not sure is this is what you have in mind! I took one photo from yesterday (of a series of windmills), extracted just the edge bits of the helix, then recolored them, beveled them, and used Thao's Gold Style on it. I then distorted it a bit and put it on the layout I did yesterday (so if that is going to be Task 8 lol I am ahead for once!) A Walk in the Park

Task #7

At the end of my walk I took two photos in my back yard, and I had a hard time picking which one to post here. I cropped them, and both of them were taken so that the background was already blurred. I started playing around with styles, and ended up using STI_SSTools_Styles_Watercolor4901 on both photos. I like the way the background turned out on this one, so I will post it. The other one is a bluebird who posed for me long enough to get three shots. I love being reminded to take photos.

Task #7

We hiked to the top of Enchanted Rock yesterday and took quite a few pictures. This is one of my favorites. I used Adobe Lightroom to crop it closer, adjusted the color to bring out the pink in the granite rock, and increased the vibrancy of the yellow flowers.

Task #7

It was pouring rain all day, we hadn't had any rain for weeks, so I went out on my front porch and took a few photos from there. Here is one of the flowers from my flower pot on my porch I couldn't decide between the Mandevilla or the dahlia. The dahlia finally won out. I shot my phot in raw and edited the photo in cs3. I lowered the brightness and upped the blacks a tad to deepen the color a little. I also upped the vibrancy by a couple of notches. :D. I also played with the levels, and curves and contrast a little bit. Oh, and I selected the flower added a feather of 2, and sharpened it a little bit too.

TASK #7

Hello, fellow re-june-venators!

I got Task 7 finished this evening. I used a photo from our recent windstorm. I cropped and cheated sort of with the editing ... wanted to see what changes all the "auto fix" options would produce. I created a new layer for each menu item and played away. In the end I completed another LO for my personal "By The Numbers" album. 3 Tall Trees

Task #7

It's been raining here, (yeah!!) but this morning was fine, so my dd and her bff decided that they wanted me to take photos of them at the park, handy for task 6 and perfect for task 7.

I used MRE_photobasics_BW_withcolour and I added MRE_SmartGlow for a bit of pop.

I finished Task 7 before the SP Chat but didn't have a chance to upload until now.

This Rose was taken on along a wall at a place called Park Rose just up the street half a block from my place

and I chose to use SsoftSupSat on it as well as Dark Velvet on a cut out of the top Rose that I saved before using the Super Saturation Script (Actions) on it. I loved the effect so decided to share this one here but in actuality I did all 6 pics I chose in different Script Modes and I like them all!

Okay,

I think I may be a little late getting in on this thread but here is one of the pics I deleted from my memory card - so card is now clear.

Sorry - gotta back out of this game - just can't keep up with it with this darn kidney stone rolling around like a balled up piece of barbed wire inside me ......will catch the next one!

task # 7, took a walk around my backyard as the weather was starting to look ominous. here are some flowers, first cropped, then changed the levels to even out the brightness, then used a WOW filter called sumi-e.

this added some depth to the photo, after seeing it here in the post, I might have to do another round of lighting up maybe a screen on top of the filter.

TASK #8

These flowers were dancing in the rain, on the day we were supposed to take a walk with our camera. My walk was along my front porch to save my camera and lens any undue stress from the rain drops :D. I used the new monthly KSC_BeauteBotan_collection which is beautiful, and was perfect for this challenge and my dahlia photo.

Task 7 - My neighborhood is not very good backdrop for pictures so I decided to take mine someplace else. My dh and I went to look at model homes and that is where I found the Lilly in my picture. I croped the picture just to highlight the lilly, then added Gausian Blur to get rid of distracting background. I then applied Crosshatch Brush stroke to entire photo, then singled out just Lilly and added a slight Drop Shadow.

Task #3:

There's bonuses to falling a little behind - if I didn't know what was coming, I would have ended up scrapping a photo of my ds & dad working on the farm with a pretty "princess collection" frame freebie from last week. That might have been interesting!

Task 7

I took this photo of a crape myrtle while on the walk. I have been macro crazy since I discovered that setting on my camera. Flowers seem to be the most interesting (easy) subject to shoot on that setting right now. LOL!

I fabulized it by running a couple of actions to boost the color and sharpen the picture and then I used the burn tool to darken the edges quite a bit.

Task #5 - Yikes! Will try my best!

Task #6 - Was out in the yard yesterday and took some pictures of all my hard workers.

Task #7 - Here's a pic of my boys helping spread mulch. Played around with tint and saturation, and added a dry brush effect to it.
