Is there anyway to automatically batch each layer in a photoshop into a png file? Can you think opf a quicker way than saving one at a time?

I have about 50 8.5x11 pages of alpha sets that need to each be saved as a png file (to have upper and lower seperate files).

I have about 200 scrapbook pages 8.5x11 each with about 10 embellishments in layers Photoshop files. I want to save each embellishment as a png file. See http://www.scrapbookingtolearn.com/photos/index.php

Any help appreciated.

I do this all the time. You can export layers to files (not PNG), like PSD which keeps the transparency. Then make an action that saves your PSDs as PNGS, then go in and delete the PSDs.

tonya,

You are a life saver. Seems if I can do this then I could just add another action to make into PNG.

Thanks SO MUCH!!!

The batch is a prewritten script though, not an action you make. File > scripts>export layers to files.

And I don't know what you gals are talking about but I suppose if I ever develop to the point of needing to do it, I'll come looking for this info in the archives. ha ha

This worked very quick for each page of embellishments.

1. I placed all embellishment into one folder.
2. Change layers into seperate files: File > scripts>export layers to files
3. I made a new action to save all as a png- and save into a png folder.
ACTION PNG
1. Open file
2. Image>trim>transperent pixcles
3. Save as PNG
4. Close

BUT it did not work for the alphas because one layer was a bunch of squares and the next layer was 26 text files. I'm trying to come up with a quicker way to do the alphas. I have over 50 pages of alpha times 26 upper and 26 lower case= 2600 files!!! :banghead:

Any advice?
