I just ordered my ATCs from Zazzle. I'm so grateful to all the discussion here. I would have been lost on my own. Now I just have to wait for them to arrive. I've never had anything printed (other than photos)before. Thanks to all!

Yippee! My cards from Zazzle arrived yesterday. Quick shipping, quality is fine. Now I'm looking at them, wondering if I should have changed something before printing.....
My darling 12 year old son says my photo looks creepy (I'm kind of looking sideways at the camera). Thanks, kiddo!
Glad they're done!
Now I just have to make sure I'm up to speed on all the techniques I'm a little rusty on. Oh, and work and housework and kids and.....
Yup - I'm gonna love SLC! Can't wait!

Hmmm....I think I'll start my ATCs this week. I enjoyed the designing of them and I'm not sure what I'll do this year. Last year everythinkg, including the ATCs, bunched up at the last minute and it was a real effort to get them all ready in time. I'll check Zazzle. Everyone seems please with the results from there.

Just for the record, I haven't started mine yet either!! I feel so intimidated by them, no idea what to put on it. I'm such a queen-of-last-minute, but I don't want to leave it to the last thing to do either. I was so impressed with so many wonderful cards that I recieved last year and felt so horribly embarrassed that I had nothing to share. I will do them, but I hope it's not too late! ;) Can't wait to meet you all (again for some of you!) and see those fantastic ATCs in real life! ;) Thanks for sharing your tips everyone!

Just to let your know my replacement cards from Artscow came in yesterday. They are wonderful! I am glad I saturated the color a little more bofore ordering the replacements, but I am really happy with the results. I like the rounded corners. Into a pile they go!

ROFL, Nancy! Leave it to kids to say something like that! I'm sure they are fine ... my kids say I am a total dork and I wear the badge proudly! :disappearing-smilie:

Oh, I'm so excited! My ATC's are ready. Like Amanda I was so intimidated, sitting in front of my screen linking and now??? I had an idea, but they turned out totally different. This has been the most difficult 'LO' I have ever done LOL They are printed, I printed at home (because due to my business I have photoprinters here)cut them and now they are waiting here to be shared in SLC. WooooHooo! Can't wait to see your ATC's and the real people on these like Amanda says!

Are you all crediting the designer if you use a SG kit to make your ATC? I am guessing I will put my credits on the back. I am just wondering what others did.

Thanks.

That's a good question Sandy..I didn't even think about it since for me, I just used my own stuff. I did add the D
SG site address at the very bottom. Now I'm thinking..well everybody there will know Scrapgirls web address LOL. So that would be a good spot to add any credits.

Sandy, I couldn't figure out where to put credits directly on the card, either. Since I knew I would post it here, I also knew I would give credit on the gallery post. Which is what I did when I posted it.

Before this thread, I had never even HEARD of ATC cards! No disrespect to the designers, but I never even thought of adding credits to the ATCs! I don't add credits ON my scrap pages, and I thought this was like a mini-scrap. Maybe I am wrong, but it never occurred to me to add credits to an ATC.

I think it's like Michele said, when you post your card in the gallery, add your credits there.

Thanks, ScrapGirls friends. I will try and find a place on the front since I am using a kit there. I think it is important to give the designer credit for her work in something I pass out.

The back is one of my favorite photos by me with lots of text overlaid. I will also post with credits, as well. (when i finish)

I think just adding the website address is fine and like the others said..when you post to the gallery add the full credits.

I think I just assumed we would all eventually post them, and give the credits there.

Well...no credits from me! Mine were made and printed already. Whenever I asked in this thread and other threads about what is an ATC and what should go on it...no one ever mentioned putting credits on it. :( And when I googled ATC's or looked at some in the Somerset magazines...none of those had credits on them. :(

After the convention...when I post it in the gallery, I had/have all intentions of listing the credits. Which are all ScrapGirls.

I'm pretty sure they said last year to post in the gallery and list the credits there.

Yes, I think that it has been said to put the credits in the gallery. As it is for convention and for trading the ATC's there it has been 'allowed' to create ATC using designers stuff without giving credits on the ATC itself.

I think if you use a variety of Scrap Girls products, the credits might take up a large portion of your 2.5 x 3.5 LOL!

I used one collection and used a 4 point font and made a mention of the kit and designer.

I also like Caroline's reply:

Ok. I placed my order with Zazzle with Economy shipping. Even if it takes the 12 days they will be here in time.

My DH saved me from making a big mistake. He proofed them and had me print the ATC at 2.5 x 3.5 on my printer. To make a long story short I made a lot of changes after that. Mainly to make them readable. I had designed the ATC zoomed in and much of my text was way too small to read when printed. So I fixed them up, and all is good.

Thanks for everyone's help. I appreciate you all so much.

Wasn't there another site that printed ATC's in addition to Artscow? I thought I remembered reading about another one on one of the threads?

I finally created my ATC and printed them with Zazzle! YAY! I was really intimidated by it all and it is finally done! I received a coupon from Zazzle and I will not use it. Coupon is good for $5 off order of $20 or more. Expires 10/9. Don't know if it is a one time coupon. Thanks for all the great help!!!

Mine arrived today!! I think they turned out really cute!! Just don't look too closely...they are slightly off-center...but I think that's my fault because I was having trouble with Zazzle's printing template gridlines :embarrassed003:

Are you sure it's your fault? I am going to have a look at their site later and see what I think. I got my first one in the mail from Silly (Priscilla) and it is awesome! Even tho I am not going to get to go to Convention I want to order a bunch for this mailing thing I hope is going to be approved for us to use all year whenever we feel as if someone needs a little happiness coming in the form of snail mail. I get so little snail mail anymore and I am delighted when I do. I was so happy to get Silly's ATC and it is just beautiful. I thought they would be nice to mail to someone who is going through tough times or even good times just to let them know I am thinking about them - and then when we see something on the Prayers and Praise, we could do more than just post our thoughts to them. Still haven't gotten the go ahead yet because it would mean addresses being given out but so far the responses I have gotten, NO ONE seems to mind that at all. I know SG protects that info for us and for that I am grateful, but if we are comfortable with it, then I don't know why it would be a problem and we could certainly be selective as to who we give our address to. What do you think? I need some support here!
