No reason to pick just one, right? You could have 20 cards of one design, 20 of another, etc...

Well, I started working on something last night.
We'll see how it goes. Maybe I can finish it up within the week and have them printed and done with.
Before I look like this:

Now to do the "informative" side.

You know...go with it...stop analyzing it.
But, I can't get artscow to cooperate. Maybe there are too many people in the world trying to make cards right now.
Now, if I wanted a mouse pad or apron...I'd be good to go. lol (I tried other things to see if they were working.)
Maybe I'll try in the morning.

I had to go back and make a little more "bleed" area to make sure nothing "important" was cut off.
I clicked on the tab on the site that said special sale and saw some codes for the custom playing cards. I copied a code and used it when I checked out. I got 3 decks (54 in a deck) for $29.97. That's including shipping. Worth it to me so that I don't have to worry about printing and cutting, etc.
Thanks, Caroline for starting this thread!
I had it in my mind to start a thread sometime asking for details about ATCs. Time was slipping away though.
Now to find some airline tickets!

I hope the colors are as vibrant as they are on my screen.
If not, you'll find me apologizing for them as I exchange them. lol

They help you fix the name and screen name to the face (the nametag help too)

I didn't read through all the posts (so please forgive me if this is duplicate info) but I wanted to share my experience with ordering my ATCs from two different companies. I bought a set from ArtsCow and a set from Zazzle. I prefer the cards from Zazzle for two reasons. First, they have sqared corners (not rounded like the playing cards at ArtsCow) and second, and most importantly, the colors are much more vivid on the cards from Zazzle. I had a coupon for a free deck at Arts Cow, so I ordered them, but I'm not going to use them. The cards from ArtsCow are in sets of 54 for $9.99 and the cards from Zazzle were 100 for $18.99 ~ so virtually the same price. The ArtsCow products come from Hong Kong (literally that was the return address!) and Zazzle comes from San Jose, so I got them very quickly. I've talked a friend of mine into coming to convention with me and we made ATCs with a pic of both of us and I just love how it came out. (But I do have to say that the ArtsCow cards were also really cute.) Can't wait to trade with everyone! See you soon.

It's the chubby business card:

You'll see on the page free 2-sided printing. Below that is the "Design a Chubby" card link.
(Did I mention that I love my cards!!)

You can smile and say how "lovely" my round-edged, dull cards are.
Hopefully they won't be too bad.
Since I've already paid for them...I don't think I should try to justify ordering a new set.
(Unless they really are horrible. I'll be sure to post my thoughts when they come.)

I do worry a tad about them not being vibrant.
I guess I'll see.

Penny, what is the "durability" like. Are they matte and the weight of business cards? Easily bend? And, Charlene, what do the ArtsCow playing cards look like in terms of matte, semigloss, etc.

Change that blinkie, girl! lol
Well...I still haven't found the cards I had made for Christmas. They might be in the garage somewhere. I have a bad habit of clearing everything out of my car (SUV) after a trip and then a box or bucket, etc winds up sitting out there with misc stuff in it. Maybe the boys had them on a trip and now they are in the garage graveyard. lol
Gotta find them!
My recollection was that they were a soft gloss. Felt durable to me. Have rounded corners (which seems okay to me.) But...I think the colors weren't "perfect." But...I think the picture itself wasn't as great as I would have liked. When I tried (in PSE) to brighten the colors, it would start to look fake. I'm referring to the picture of Ethan on his bike (for the Christmas time cards.)
Maybe I'll know in a couple of days how they look. I'll report in as soon as I get them!
