I can't seem to find one anywhere at the minute, and it's bugging me. I'm looking for a quote, around a sentence or two; not a long one, about charity and kindness. I'm hoping to do a fundraising event in a few months so a charity quote would be good. I'm putting a book together with all the photos that are going to be taking etc., and i'm just wanting a few idea so I can start to get it organised, as i'm definately not going to have much time when the next few weeks are out! Any ideas will be appreciated!

Thanks!

I was going to suggest Ro's book as well... I use it quite often.

Excellent idea to get started ahead of the event. You'll save yourself a lot of craziness that way! :)

Here's a couple that may work

How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world. ~Anne Frank

It seems to me that any full grown, mature adult would have a desire to be responsible, to help where he can in a world that needs so very much, that threatens us so very much. ~Norman Lear

It is the greatest of all mistakes to do nothing because you can only do little - do what you can. ~Sydney Smith

While earning your daily bread, be sure you share a slice with those less fortunate. ~Quoted in P.S. I Love You, compiled by H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. ~Winston Churchill

What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal. ~Albert Pike

All of these from quotegarden.com, my first stop for looking for a quote. Good luck.

Thank you Sandi! And thanks to everyone else for the quick response! I'll make sure to post photos when the time comes to document all the planning, and of course the event if I get thumbs up for the go ahead! It probably won't be until Christmas, but with all the planning... could be pretty hectic! Thanks again! And Sandi, I think I oughta bookmark that site =) Thank you!

I have found that among its other benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver.

John D. Rockefeller Jr.:

Think of giving not as a duty but as a privilege.

Peyton Conway March:

There is a wonderful mythical law of nature that the three things we crave most in life -- happiness, freedom, and peace of mind -- are always attained by giving them to someone else.

Anne Frank:

No one has ever become poor by giving.

"Keep what is worth keeping and with the breath of kindness blow the rest away." unknown

I interpret that to mean that no one is perfect, and it is kinder to ignore the little imperfections of someone else and celebrate the good things about them.
