DesertScrapper
Brand new. Need to be formatted or anything before I can use it with the Mac Mini? The only 'directions' in the box basically says 1> Plug into EHD 2> Plug EHD into wall 3> plug into computer ... LMAO! It does say on the packaging that it is compatible with my Mac's OS, so I think I'm okay there.
KFiasco
Nope! Mine didn't need anything but plugging in. I've used it on at least 3 computers. The only thing it does is try to read all the files and open the files. I just say no and move on from there. I love mine.

mjaguiar
I have this one too! It was a replacement EHD for one that crashed before it...and it is sooooo much better!
SkRiders
My computer guy told me not to format ehd's he said that if you ever wanted to change operating systems from Windows to Mac you could still retain all the stuff on the ehd. He told me if you formatted the ehd it would then be useless on a mac. Not 100% certain his information is correct but none the less I've never formatted. DesertScrapper
Thank you for the help! I shall just plug and PLAY then! Yippeee! And don't you just hate it when you don't get any instructions in the darn box? Did they assume I knew about this stuff already? Ahh well.
