Guest ekjenkins
I need some help with Layout Template Trendy 4, specifically the flower template. I understand about putting paper behind the template to show through the flower/butterfly holes, but how do I put a photo on top so that some of the flowers and butterflies are on top of the photo? Everytime I do, the flowers are covered by the photo. Thanks for the help, Elizabeth
angleigh
Here's how I usually do this: First lay out the pattern paper on the template how you want it. Once you have laid that out and then did your cntrl g to merge the paper(s) with the template. Then I would place the photo on top. Once again use the cntrl g to merge the photo wiht the template. At this time you can see, if you have placed the photo on top of any of the flowers, butterflies, stars etc that pattern will appear in your photo. By doing the cntrl g you are basically cutting that shape into your photo. After you have all of that placed, then you can put the paper under the template to create the flowers. Let me know if you have any other questions

needmath
I just want to add another question to this. If you merge the photo down does that make it so the layers are merged or are the layers just linked and you can still change your layout around? amanda
The layers are merged (or "pasted") together, but you can move that layer around and change your layout. HTH!
