I've been slacking this week too. Must be the stress of being so good last week! :disappearing-smilie: Anyway, except for having to compete with the Rose Parade on Friday morning, I don't anticipate any more excuses this week. The workouts I have gotten in have been good ones. Right now I'm doing half pushups from the top, with a goal to be able to do some full pushups (from the floor) by the end of next week.

I'm 5'8", so going smaller than a size 10 would look ridiculous on me. I was a very underweight teenager, so I am very familiar with my bone structure, and I can assure you that a 10 is my lower limit without people wondering if I was anorexic or something.

Jenna, it really is OK to "re-do" a week or so. I've re-done quite a few days since starting the program. I do encourage you to keep at it.

Steph, I continue to be amazed by you. But I do have to ask, what is "Cardio Axe"? Please don't tell me you're doing a hatchet job on yourself!?!

Have a great Thursday, everyone!
JoEllen

JoEllen, great job with those workouts you squeezed in. On a 5'8" frame, 10 sounds like perfection. I'm 5'2" with small bone structure so I don't look fit 'til I'm rather small. Ah well.

Cardio Axe (pronounced Ah shay) is part of the Brazil Butt Lift Program. I'm combining the Circuit training from CE with BBL. I'm glad there are no mirrors in my living room. I probably look like a drunk marionette doing some of the moves. The calorie burn is significant.

Today I did Lean Circuit 1, Cardio Axe (I'm getting a little better at it) and High & Tight. My booty and thighs are screaming. Time for a hot bath.

My goal for tomorrow is Cardio Axe and Bum Bum (pronounced boom boom) and maybe a short Ab routine.

Happy New Year everyone. 2010 is gonna be the best year yet.

I've been slacking MAJOR lately. But 2010 will be the year I get back on track. Our office is starting a big weight loss competition on Monday 1/4/10 through 12/31/10. Any employee who can, during that time frame, lose 10% body weight AND decrease their body fat percentage by 20%...will win a company-paid long weekend trip to a private ranch in Texas during 2011. So now I have motivation to get fit and keep up with the guys ;)

I dusted off my Wii Fit and my Beachbody 10-Minute Trainers. I ordered the additional workouts game for the Wii Fit. I even bought a special laptop shelf that attaches to a treadmill or exercise bike! I'm ready!

Bring on 2010!

Happy New Year everyone. Keep the great work going!!

WOW Theresa now that is some Incentive! You go girl! I've been walking with dad when I'm home. But during the holidays I spent at least 6 days away from home at Layna's so no walking those days.

Theresa, good for you for jumping back in! That is a great incentive!

For those of you who don't have employers that dangle that kind of carrot, how's this for incentive...improved self-image, clothes that fit without cutting you in two at the waist, increased energy, better sleep at night, less sickness, longer life, a great sense of accomplishment and children who want to emulate your good habits.

Six months of, for the most part, being dedicated to a healthy self have done all these things for me, and more. The pounds and inches lost have been fantastic, but the rest of the stuff makes it worth all the work. If you've gotten off track, now is a great time to hop back on and join us!!

Happy New Year all you fitness babes! Here is to another happy healthy year!! :)

I like all of those incentives, Christy! They are sooo true! And at the risk of jinxing myself, I can personally vouch for the getting sick one. I haven't been sick since Oct. 2008, at the Scrap Girls convention. The family has brought home all kinds of nasty bugs, including the flu, and believe me, germs have inevitably been shared, especially with DH, ;), but I have remained healthy throughout! Gotta love it! :D That alone is worth all of the hard work!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that has been slacking the last week or so. I'm ready to dig in and get back on track. All the goodies are gone out of the house now. That will help. :) I lost a little ground in the weight loss but it shouldn't take me long to rectify that. Off we go - to a better, healthier life!

Awesome Jan! I started the new year with a 1.6 mile walk with Dad at the mall. We were the only ones there...and the mall echo'ed as all the little booths are now gone since the holidays are over!

Gosh it has been FOREVER since I have posted here! Gosh, I'm so sorry! I will try to be more consistent. I have been working very hard on my new website...www.coachwxchic.com! I finally got it to where I want it, blog and all! Please come by and say hi!! And I want to do a testimonial page, so if you are using Beachbody and have a great story to tell, I'd be honored to use it on my page! Just let me know!

Everything is going great for me. In fact, even my husband cannot deny my results anymore and has decided to join me with P90X! He is a bit sore, but he is excited to be doing this and I am too!! I still can't believe it! I got him to let me take some measurements and maybe even a photo! But he says I can't publish it on my site...:( THat is OK...as long as I got him moving!

I'm now below my goal weight and doing great! I'm in my final month of the first round of P90X and although I thought I'd return to ChaLEAN after the 90 days, I'll have to do another round of P90X to keep Steve motivated. And I'm OK with that!

Theresa, what an awesome thing your company is doing!! It will be exciting for you to get moving SERIOUSLY!! You go!!

Pat and Vaughnde...let's get you guys some DVD's!! It is time to make the move...let's do it!

Christy, you rock...and you too, Steph!! You too, Jo Ellen!! All of you! I've been getting e-mail updates on this thread and have been reading what you all are doing. It is great!

I have such renewed faith in myself because I was finally able to influence my husband! It is such a great feeling!

Love ya, Jan!! Thanks for introducing this to all of us! :)

Theresa

I walked on the treadmill for 45 minutes this evening. Not very fast, but my lower back is bothering me a bit today.

I received Jillian Michaels' 2010 Ultimate Challenge for the Wii for Christmas. It's not what I had asked for and I'm not sure I like it, but I will give it a few tries anyway.

Tiza, you can totally win that weekend. You go girl. I'm rooting for you.

Christy, I agree with you about all the benefits of exercising regularly. Happily, I have had fewer sick days this season than last. And nothing ibuprofen didn't handle.

V, great job on the walking. I bet the echoing is an interesting way to keep cadence.

Jan, yay on the run. I hope to start 2011 with a run too.

Theresa, I'm so excited that you've inspired you're hubby by way of awesome example. WTG. P90X is in my future.

Pat, great job on the treadmill. Let us know how you like the JM workout.

I did Cardio Axe, Bum Bum & I've Got Abs today. One of the girls at work, who has also been going through infertility treatments, confided that she is 8 weeks pregnant with 2 embryos. One of them is much smaller and may not survive. She has a different insurance than I chose and it covers IVF. So, I will have to wait a year before I can change policies and do the IVF approach. One year to get into the best shape of my life. I'm ready.

Pat, let me know how Jillian's Wii workout is. I love Jillian, and I love my Wii...so if it's any good, I'll ask for it for my birthday.

I do agree with Christy's list of incentives. I love being able to fit into smaller sized clothing, feeling good about the way I look, and enjoying getting dressed in the morning. And I have noticed that I was sick fewer days last year than I usually am, probably from all the exercise and eating healthier. I take public transportation to and from work every day, so I'm at a high risk of catching all kinds of germs. But they haven't gotten me down yet! :)

Monday is the official starting weigh-in for the office competition, so I am hurrying to get all the cookies and candy and JUNK out of the apartment. I'm glad I have all of you to support me and keep me on track :)

Tiza, Mike and I are going to be starting P90X tomorrow, so we'll be starting our new programs together! :D We can do this!!

I decided that Rev Abs just wasn't enough for me. I've been having to substitute things from so many other programs, that I really don't know what I was doing. lol But it wasn't Rev Abs. So, I decided to go ahead and start the X. I'll probably still sub in the Insanity cardio workouts for some of the X workouts, just because I find Tony's cardio programs rather boring, since they are basically the same from P90 through P90 Masters Series through to the X.

I'm looking forward to seeing what this new year will bring us all! Here we go! :D

Hi everyone... With the chaos of the holidays and my business I had to take a break from my workouts. Our plan was to start again tomorrow however, I have to wait awhile longer. I was just diagnosed with kidney infection but I really didn't have symptoms. I finally went in because I have had a high fever since Wednesday night and could not shake it. Thankfully my gut told me to go to doctor yesterday and wait... They told me I would have been put in ICU by then because the infection was so bad.

Basically I am telling you all this so you remember to take care of yourselves. I can't wait jump back in to my workout. But do you know, not eating makes you loose weight? I know not the way we want to loose it but I need to find something positive in this mess!

I hope you all had wonderful holidays!

Hi, uhh, my name is Kim...remember me? (Slinking back onto the MB...) I've been very successful at ignoring my weights for the past few weeks. My knee has been hurting terribly if I sit for too long. My knuckles and elbow also scream at me. I am fairly certain this is due to too much sugar and too little water and exercise. I had not even been able to get on the elliptical during the kids' swim practices due to busyness.

Well, tonight I got my tail back up to the exercise room while the kids swam. It felt great. Now, to wake up Chalene and get her to kick my fanny! I'm making a renewed habit of drinking my water. I've got my DD's wedding on Mother's Day weekend and I do not want Bingo Wings or a Double Chin in the photos! (For Bingo Wings reference, you have to read Zits comics. I have a son that gets a kick out of the boy on that strip...and that makes me the mom!)

Anyway, I'm back. Better duct tape me in. =D

Tiza & Jan, how did day #1 go? I've been thinking of you and taking inspiration from your examples.

Dawn, I hope you feel well again soon. I'm glad you're jumping back onto the MB with us.

Kim, I know what you mean about feeling poorly after eating sugar. My body has taken to creating cold sores when I eat too much sugar.

I did Burn Circuit 2, Cardio Axe and High & Tight.

My goal for tomorrow is Bum Bum & Tummy Tuck.

Since I have been a total slug for the last month, I started over on my Kathy Smith program last night. I thought I would really kick butt with the foundation workout, but I was still out of breath and tired at the end.

Hey ladies!

So glad to see everyone getting back into the swing of things with their programs! I know how easy it is to get off track, and then we all have a tendency to just keep sliding. So, it's wonderful to see you back! Whatever our motivation, it's important that we move every day! Recommit every morning when you wake up, regardless of what time you get your workout in! Every night as your falling asleep picture the way you want to look, the way you want to feel. Keep doing that night after night and day after day, and you will find yourself reaching goals in no time! :)

Today was Day 2 of P90X and I have to just say that so far, um, it's not that big of a deal. Now, I've only done the core workout and the cardio, and after Insanity, they were like....um, is that all? lol I'll definitely be subbing in the Insanity workouts for the cardio. I wanted to give it a try on the first week just to make sure. Tomorrow is my first resistance workout, so we'll see what I have to say when that is done. :D

Until then, have a fit and happy day! :D

That's because you are a machine now Jan!! LOL! After doing very little over the two week holidays, my body has said, 'um, yes that's enough!' after the the core and cardio workouts!! LOL! :D

Hey! So glad to see a lot of you getting back on the wagon! Fitness is nothing to take for granted. You really have to incorporate it everyday to appreciate what it can do for you. I'm still amazed that my husband is so gung ho. He is not one to do this if he can't get immediate gratification. But he is and I'm so proud!

So, since he just started, I decided to skip month 3 of P90x and start with 1 again so he can have me there to help him. It probably isn't copacetic, but I'll do it anyway. I don't think I can mess myself up any at this point! LOL!

It has been bitter cold here in Minnesota and our horses escaped last night...so after my Plyometric workout I'll get to wander around outside in 12 inches + of snow searching for them. UGH! Wish me luck!

Keep moving, ladies! And stay accountable for your actions and let us know what you do!!

Good Luck Theresa! I wish I could help...how well I remember the MN cold and snow!

Walked 1.5 miles at the mall today...didn't even get in an extra half lap as dad was pretty quick on his walk today. I would love to get the DVD's Theresa but my electric bill was 223.19 and thats pretty high for someone on low income disability. Yes its been paid in full but that also means I'm gonna be scrapping the barrel soon before the month is even half over. At least I'm Thankful I have a roof over my head, food in the house and warm clothing to wear to bundle up!

Laurie, it's good to have you back on the MB and doing KS again. WTG.

Jan, it's great that P90X is a cake walk so far. Is it true that a new version may be coming out soon?

Christy, I had to laugh at your response. I think I would be lying on the ground saying "um, throw me overboard now".

Theresa, I suspect your DH is getting immediate gratification in your positive reinforcement and encouragement. I hope all is well with your horses. With 12 inches of snow, you may be doing a second plyometric workout today.

V, good job on the walking. It's so nice to hear that your dad joins you for your walks. I'm flabbergasted at your electric bill. Wow.

I did Bum Bum and Tummy Tuck today.

My plan for tomorrow is Push circuit 2 after work.

Hey Steph, by the looks of the workout options for the Coach's Summit this year, it looks like there's a new X as well as a new Turbo (del Fuego!) and a new Insanity called Crazy Insanity! LOL Gotta love Beachbody! :D

OMG, Wow!!!! I wonder what the differences will be? Mostly what I'm wondering is if they are the tougher versions that would be used to continue getting results. Like more stepping stones on the path to fitness.

Now that I'm doing BBL, I'm wondering what's next for me. I'm thinking it's either P90X or Insanity.

Good morning, Fitness Queens! Getting ready to head downstairs with the hubby to do P90X Shoulders and Arms, Abs and some treadmill. What are you going to do today? Jan, are you going to LA?!? I'm trying to convince Steve to let me go. ;)

I have a slight stiff neck, which is a bummer, but I'll take some advil and push through it. We got the horses back. Thank goodness a neighbor found them and housed them overnight. We are so grateful to have such wonderful people who live nearby.

OK, off to get fit!!

Hey, I did Shoulders and Arms this morning, too, T! :D Didn't have time to do Ab Ripper X, though. Had to get the boys up and off to school. I'll fit that in sometime later today.

Yes, Mike and I are going to LA. Registered and made our hotel reservations yesterday! Can't wait to work out live with Chalene and Shaun T!

Steph, I think that that will be exactly what they are. Just upgrading to the next level!

Well I can't wait until the X is easy for me. LOL For now it's still pretty tough & there are things I am not strong enough to do so I sub stuff. :embarrassed003:

I didn't do well last week either, I blame it on weird schedules & too many kids underfoot. Now that they are back in school I am doing great. LOL That does concern me about summer though... maybe I can get up before them to get it done. Of course the boys are up at 6 almost daily... hmmm, maybe I can strive to be up before the girls at least. :dancingstickman:

The Jillian workout sounds cool - I like Jill so I'd be interested in hearing about it too! And new versions of the programs I know & love? How cool is that? At least with BB I won't have to worry about getting bored! I do agree about Tony's cardio though - it gets a little bland. I will probably eventually make my own hybrid workout to follow every once in a while. LOL I am enjoying the X, looking forward to possibly going with a second round of it, a round of Chalean, or maybe checking into new add-ons for one of them.
