I just finished Burn Circuit 2 and a half hour jog-walk. I'm signing up for the 5K portion of the LA Marathon, and I'm hoping to run most of it. However, I have a couple of old injuries that may prevent that (won't know till I try). I'm following a Couch to 5K training schedule, and I will do the race, even if I have to walk the whole way!
Hope everyone is having a great Saturday.

Dawn, go girl go. Keep surprising that family of yours. I can't wait to hear about your marathon success.
I called in sick for the last 2 days. My head is way too congested to think about caring for critically ill people.
I did Kenpo X. It's my favorite. I'm getting better at keeping my moves precise and efficient.
My goal for tomorrow is a little low intensity cardio.

Dawn, good for you for getting up and doing it. I do agree with you that running in the house would be crazy-making. Hope your weather improves enough for you to get out.
Hope everyone is having a great Valentine's Day!

JoEllen, I would be happy to exchange our cold for your warmth! My in-laws rubbed it in today that they were leaving sunny Phoenix at a mere 70 degrees for even warmer San Diego. Cruel, I tell you! Just cruel!!
I pretty much skipped my Week 6 of P90X this week. I took off the days in between the Snow Shoveling X.
Tomorrow I'll start week 6 over. Of course, we have another storm coming in, too. Ugh!

This week the plan is to do exercises at the physio therapy centre today, and then Pilates tomorrow and on Friday. Next week I don't have physio, so then I'll try to get the Pilates done three times.

Blesha, great job with jumping back into your routine.
I did Fat Blaster and 60 mins on the elliptical. I'm working on getting extra fluid in so I can get over this head cold faster.

Thanks Steph, I think, for reminding me about the photos. See below for the before and after Slim In 6 and also an inset of the, um, interesting belly texture I now have
Hope everyone's having a great day!

Anyway I've just finished Burn Circuit 1 and a training Wa-Jo. My ipod froze up during my last run segment and I didn't have my watch, so (gasp) I may have done a little more running than I was supposed to. I don't know what's wrong with the ipod. It won't turn off or play or go forward or backward - just sitting on a track with 13 minutes to go. Anyone have any ideas?
Hope you're all having a great day!

I haven't been around much. I haven't been exercising regularly. I did the Kathy Smith foundation aerobic workout tonight.
I have to get back into it. I have been looking for a Wii, but they are all sold out around here.

Oh, and I signed up at Sparkpeople. I won't use the weight loss thing, but I'll be tracking my exercise there. There is a great Pilates "team" there.

Yesterday, it was ok out so we briskly walked the track and did 3 miles. Today is 50!!!! so we walked and jogged! We did 4 miles straight. I think that is the most I have ever done at one time without stopping. I felt like I could have done more but didn't have the time today. We plan on doing this any day that we can get outside since we cannot count on the weather.
Keep going girls!

Those photos are fab. And, your bust line looks like it isn't reducing so you are looking even more buxom now. You've truly got the best of both worlds. I also have loose skin. It is worst at the bottom of my belly and the tops of my legs. I'm hoping to keep making muscles under those areas so it will pull a little tighter over time.
BTW, my ipod freezes every once in a while. You can reset it by pressing and holding a combination of "areas" on it. Google it for your ipod version and you will find specific instructions for your model. I copied the directions to my hard drive so I wouldn't have to go searching for it. I didn't lose any of my music or other files by resetting. I was pleasantly surpised.

BTW, Wii's are not on short supply from Nintendo. Nintendo is rationing how many they send to the US. We are the only country they are limiting the supply b/c our economy is so bad they don't want to absorb the cost of dealing with unwanted units. I was shocked when I read that. It really is a statement about the way the world economy perceives what is happening here.
When I wanted to buy mine last year, I preordered through a local "game store". I waited six weeks.
Blesha, great job with the continued progress.
Dawn, you are amazing. Keep it up. I can't wait to hear about your 5K experience.
I worked the last 2 days. (Wed & Thur). I have an amazingly bad head cold which is trying to migrate into my lungs. Work has been insane lately. I have chronic pain in my feet but I have had incredible pain the last 2 days.
I just got the pain under control and I will proceed with Cardio X and some Yoga. I'll check back later and let you know what I motivated myself to do.
I did Kenpo X.

Today we looked at treadmills because Bry needs one to stay in shape for his semi-annual PT tests. We had decided that a Horizon from Academy was good enough when he decided to look at Sears (he wants a Nordictrack). I am blah on treadmills, I have a recumbant bike & at least 20 workout DVDs. Well, that ended today - we both fell in love with Nordictracks new incline/decline trainer. They are on sale - but still almost 3xs more than the Horizon we were in agreement on at Academy. I have hear wonderful things about incline training - & the Nordic goes up to 40% incline & a 3% decline. The Horizon goes to a 10% incline. Better than nothing... but still. Both carry lifetime warranty on frame & motor. Any thoughts??? We will have our tax return soon & he plans to buy asap because his next pt run is coming. I just need to get back in gear & like the idea of using a treadmill to change things up sometimes. There are a ton of things we need to do with our tax return & the Horizon was under $400 while the nordictrack we love is $1600 on sale.

Pat - welcome back!
steph - you are AWESOME!!! Great job!
I got a heart rate monitor that does calories burn on it and finally got around to learning how to use it yesterday... I burned 342 calories in 40 minutes on the elliptical. I actually did more and it was longer, I forgot to push start on the monitor! Oops! Learned that lesson, I want credit for each calorie!
I have been faithful to the elliptical & track and eating well to boot! I am measuring on March 1st and can't wait to see those changes.
Keep going everyone!

Jenna, I have an overpriced elliptical machine in my living room. It's the model found in gyms and has the HR strap. I actually use it b/c I know what the darn thing cost me.
Dawn, WTG girl. BTW, which HRM did you buy. I'm in the market for one and would love to have your opinion.
Did Chest Shoulders Triceps & Ab Ripper today. I can't remember the last time my shoulders hurt this much. I can't complete a single one armed push up or clapping push up. I collapsed on the floor in a laughing heap. I just continue with knee push ups. Someday....

I did Burn Circuit 2 and a Wa-Jo today. I've been suffering from a cold and took a few days off when I couldn't breathe. Feels good to be back into it. I've checked out the route for my 5K, and the hills are making me a bit nervous, but I know I'll get over them even if I have to crawl
Hope you're all having a great day.

Hope you ladies didn't think I've forgotten about you. I've been out there plugging away at everything. I am just snowed under right now that I have time for just a bare minimum of things other than the things that MUST get done. So I'm here, but not here.
Been working hard. On week 7 of P90X. Did Legs and Back and Core Synergistics yesterday. Didn't get Legs and Back done last week or over the weekend, and I was determined to get it in, so yesterday was the day. My hamstrings are hurting a bit today from the double, but not too badly. I ran 6 miles this morning. DH and I just have to laugh at ourselves. Here we are, running 6 miles like it's nothing, (and it really isn't!) Who woulda thunk it! Thank you Beachbody!
Pat, so glad you're getting back into the swing of things!
Jenna, you too! And if you get the Nordic Track, does it have the iFit module? It is so cool. Mike and I have ordered a Nordic Track treadmill. We'll get it at some point. We ordered from the website and it's back ordered. Anyway, the iFit module allows you to race in 5Ks against your friends on Facebook. We'll have to see if we can figure that out if that's what you end up getting.
Dawn, you are doing such a great job with the running, too! So PROUD of you ladies and how you're taking on new things. You are amazing and you are capable of amazing things! Believe it!

Jan - I think the model we are considering does have ifit on it. If I manage to get into running condition for a 5k I'll let you know. LOL I am mainly interested in the incline options but Bry is a runner.
