Sara, I just noticed your post. I don't remember it being there the last two times I looked. Odd huh. I'm glad you're joining us.
I know Vaughnde does her walking and a couple of the ladies here started with Slim in 6. A few of us have done Chalean Extreme. It just depends on your current fitness level and what you like to do. Whatever you pick, we will be here cheering you on. BTW, Jan is a great resource for program suggestions.
I did Leg & Back with Ab Ripper X. I pushed through all the ab reps without stopping during the exercises. I am feeling it all over my body. Yay, I really want to start seeing some core results. So, I'm ramping up my definition of "bring it".
My goal for tomorrow is Kenpo X and Recharge. My sore legs will be loving Recharge.

I just wanted to let you know about a site I was introduced to (the Heart Rate Monitor that was given to me is part of this system). It is No Excuse WorkOut He offers a forum, etc but for those that do not have equipment and/or videos etc, he offers workouts that are interval based and strength training. You can download the files to see them and use a watch or timer to change from one thing to another. You can use a HRM or he gives you guidance on Perceived Exertion. The intervals could even be done while walking the mall or outside.
anyway, just something to think about. I have started using these trainings when I can't meet with my workout partner or if we go to the track for our cardio, we do the intervals. I have actually lost a lot more calaries doing intervals on the elliptical and at the track than just keeping one pace.

Sara, let me know what type of workouts you like to do. Beachbody has something for everyone.
Today I ran 3.3 miles and then did Dynamic Flow Yoga. That yoga workout is a KILLER on the arms after doing Chest, Shoulders and Triceps yesterday! Killer!

In addition to this I've planned out my cardio workouts. What I do is walk at a faster pace than my regular pace. I'm still able to breathe in deep through my nose and out through my mouth, but the heart rate does go up. Actually I've gotten more cardio done than I planned. Last week I registered 20 minutes on Saturday (had scheduled 10 minutes). This week I had scheduled 10 minutes on Monday and Thursday. On Monday I registered 15 minutes, Tuesday 10 minutes, Wednesday 20 minutes, yesterday 30 minutes and today 35 minutes. Am quite pleased with this week's workout, and the week isn't over yet!

I did Kenpo X and TMT Yoga Flex. I was able to do the full range of stretch on the yoga moves. My flexibility has really gotten very good since starting my beach body journey. It feels great.
Tomorrow is a rest day and workday. I'm considering wearing a heart rate monitor so I can see how many calories I burn during a workday. I suspect it's lower than I think.

I have been working out each day either with videos or cardio... I am loving my HRM! I love seeing the calories burned. I am tempted to wear it all day long and see what I burn in one day.
Today was intervals on the elliptical and then jog 1 mile... we had soccer practice for Lance in between.
I am doing yoga on the wii tonight to stretch... it is nice & easy and it feels great after working out consistently for a week.

JoEllen, you're my hero. Nothing stops you. You are one amazing, tenacious, go-getter. You're gonna rock that marathon.
Did Core Synergistics & Cardio X. My HRM says I burned 851 cals in 59 mins of Core Synergistics. Wow, who knew (not me). It's incredibly motivating to see those numbers.
My goal for tomorrow is Chest Shoulder & Triceps with Ab Ripper.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

We have an elliptical and I think I'm going to get on it for 10-15 minutes today and then do some stretching. I just don't want to over do it and then quit before I get into a routine. Hopefully posting this will make me feel more accountable and make me want to stay on task.

Wendee, I'm with JoEllen on the advise about starting where you want. I also have an elliptical and the thing that keeps me motivated to use it (besides the price tag) is good music on my ipod. On my non weight lifting days, I try to work in intervals on it. So, I go all out for a minute or so and then slow back down for the same time frame. But, somedays I just work at a comfortable aerobic pace and sing to my music. Whatever you do, it will be fabulous.
Did Chest Shoulders & Triceps. I was able to do 2 clapping push ups. My feet & ankles have been bothering me alot lately. So, I'm doing all my push ups on my knees to protect my ankles.
I think my HRM must be inaccurate. It says I burn alot more calories than I think is possible. I would have been mega skinny a long time ago if I really burned that many cals.

I did 20 min on my treadmill (walking 2% incline). I will be doing more this evening. Trying to work up to 10K steps a day + P90X, which I am having a heck of a time getting back into again. Ugh - just not motivated & I think it's a mental thing - I keep thinking "ewww, an hour & I have so much to do today before Taliah gets home" (she gets home at 10:40). I really need to break through that mental block. Then if I can get my eating back on track I should be good to go!

Steph, clapping pushups???! Wow! I'm still struggling with them on my knees. Of course, you have youth on your side, not to mention that you've been working at it longer than I have!
Wendee and Jenna, good for you for getting the moves on! Hope you can both find a way to make it work with your young kids and other distractions.
Hope everyone else has had a great day!

I did manage 60 min on the treadmill today - 2% incline most of the time (or higher) & about 3 mph most of the time (a little up sometimes, a little down, but not below 2.5). Not super tough or really fast, but something is better than nothing. I did it in 3 20 min intervals this afternoon & evening. Racked up almost 9000 steps - which is still short of my goal but much better than what I was averaging before. LOL

I am going to go down now and do the elliptical again. I'm going to try reading my emails while I'm on the elliptical. I used to do this and it was nice to combine activities.

Today is a beautiful day. I got outside to walk for 25 minutes. And had my first mishap of the year. LOL I tripped on a piece of sidewalk that had buckled. I went down, but other than a slightly skinned knee (can't even see anything on my jeans) I think I'm ok. My face hit the concrete and I thought I scratched one of the lenses of my glasses, but they are fine too. Thankfully I had thick gloves on or I would have scrapped up my palms.
Welcome Wendee! If you find the program you bought doesn't work out for you, there is a website called MyFitnessPal, it's free, and it has a wonderful database for tracking your food plus a place to record your exercise too.

Hope you all have a great day tomorrow.

Jenna, if P90X is just too long right now, why don't you just do ChaLEAN Extreme. You have that one, right? It's so much shorter, but just as effective, don't you think?
JoEllen, can't wait to hear how you do on the run! So glad you got your energy back! Maybe you were just running a little low on carbs on those days?
Blesha, you are doing such a great job at keeping consistent. That's what counts!
Pat, glad that your tumble didn't hurt too much! Glad to hear you're feeling better, too.
Dawn, you are doing an awesome job at being consistent, too.
I'm being consistent, too. I've been out running on my cardio days. Working the P90X plan the other days. Mike also got Ten Minute Trainer, so I've been popping the cardio workout in when I need to get up and move in the afternoons to get more calorie burn. But I am sooo looking forward to warmer weather when I don't have to bundle up to run outside. So tired of the cold and wind!
So proud of all of you ladies! Keep it up!

Sorry your kids are sick Jenna. It sounds like planting was a great workout! I love gardening!
Sounds like everyone has some neat routines. I'll have to look into them when I get the chance.
I'm just finishing my 30 minutes on the elliptical and I did intervals inbetween with the same stuff I did yesterday. Now for a good stretch.
