If anyone else has used Yoga Booty Ballet, I'd love to hear what you thought of it.

WooHoo, Becca!!!! Which one did you get?
That Project YOU one, Laurie. It came on Friday, and I had a little time to check it out. The meal plans are very do-able, and that kind of surprised me. I only grocery-shop every other week, so next week, when I go, I'm going to start that meal plan. This week, I promised myself to get active at least 20 minutes of the day. And so far, so good. Saturday, I hopped on the treadmill; Sunday, I took the dog for a walk through the woods. And today's the treadmill, as it's raining this morning.
C'mon, Laurie, get out those Project YOU disks and start with me next week, OK??
PS. I'm all up for an early morning walk during Convention!!! Who's with me??

Hi Becca, I'm on day 6 of week 1 on the workout calendar. It is taking everything I have to keep doing it everyday.
This thread really helps, because I want to come here to post that I did my workout!

I worked out on Saturday (cardio) like I needed to and Sunday was my day of rest. Food wise, well ... I wasn't TERRIBLE but I wasn't great either. Had pizza for dinner on Friday and ice cream (I crave cookie dough ice cream like most SG'ers crave chocolate) on Saturday night. Hadn't had it for almost a month so I didn't feel bad about it at all....and it tasted yummy ... carvel
Anyway, today is getting back on the horse day. I'm not feeling the desire to work out this morning but thanks to this thread, I am going to go do it shortly. It's a strength training day. I sent the Power90 DVDs back (Tony's cardio just was NOT for me), however since I had created a spreadsheet to track my progress, I can still do the strength training program. Going to order Turbo Jam either today or tomorrow (depending on how busy I am) and can't wait for that to come. Hoping it's much more my style than the P90 was.
Have a great day everyone! I'll try and check in later after my workout.

Our eating wasn't perfect this weekend either. We splurged on ice cream, too, Denise! This was on Saturday after we did our workout and all that gardening, so I didn't feel too badly either.
Anyway, I plan to spend the rest of the day on my recliner working.
Have a great day everyone!

I was pretty good this weekend, food wise. Not perfect, but not bad. I even exercised on Saturday. I think you're all right about something being in the air, because I'm not really in the mood to work out. I'm also hungry this morning -- what's up with that? I just ate an omelet, and usually that is more than satisfying to me. Argggh. All of that talk about cookie dough ice cream, maybe.
Anyhow.. I've got Lean Circuit 1 on the schedule... I can do it. I can do it....
Now, if I can get my behind off this chair, I might actually do it.
Keep up the good work, everyone! Yay, Jan -- good job getting your workout in!

I don't know when I will have the money to get Yoga Booty Ballet. I am a little nervous about spending money on the video when I don't know how my knees will handle it.

Yes, Laurie, I did get the Skechers Shape Ups. They make you walk with a rolling motion which works all the leg muscles and the glutes. I've worn them all over the place and have never felt like I'd fall off of them. I've attached a copy of the sole (cute socks optional). It adds about an inch to my height, not that I'm vertically challenged but some people might appreciate it.
Have a great rest of your holiday, ladies!

JoEllen, you will have to let me know if you get a Vitamix. I love mine and use it for a lot more than smoothies! I am still determined to get some wheat kernels and make my own flour
Way to go for all those that worked out, even when you didn't feel like it!
Becca, we will definitely fit in some walks and exercise while at convention!!
I am glad to be home and to get into this new week, with a new schedule, now that school is starting!
Blessings!

I'm hoping I can get over this sinus infection and start feeling like doing the whole workout thing!
Good job resisting the goodies, Christy. I was SO not good.
On to a new week!

JoEllen, those shoes look really interesting. They would make shopping so much more of a workout. I might have to look into those at some point.

Vaughnde, sounds like you had a very productive day...here's to a quick easy move!
Today is Regan's first day of First grade. So, after pictures and sending her off, Sage and I are off to the gym!! Getting Regan up and off to school each day should make it that much easier to get me up and off to a workout each day! LOL!
Happy healthy day to you all!!

Eight days since beginning and down 7 lbs. WOO HOO Lots of bloat gone and made it through the weekend. Ate fairly well although I need to add more veggies so will work on that this week. Sometimes I forget to eat inbetween my meals. Have had some real cravings but was able to get through them. Am beginning to walk each day and knees are doing ok. Will push harder each day. Water goes down easy as it is my drink of choice.
Keep up all the good work girls. Good to hear how you are all doing.

Vaunghde, that sounds like a workout to me
Fran, I wish I was 7 punds down ... nice work.
You ladies are all so encouraging and inspiring... I know I'll start loosing soon... I want to loose just about 8 to 10 pounds and get leaner.
Yall have a healthy day!

I'm still in unmotivated land... YUCK! Did my tae-bo but I don't feel I did it as well as I could have. Still I guess the fact I did it is good. Haven't logged MFP in a few days either. DD got me hooked on Farm Town and that's not helping things any
I did do pretty good last night. DH decided it was a 'holiday' so the girls could have a 'special dessert'. He was taking them to Ritas. Well, they didn't have any flavors that I really like so .... ready .... I didn't get anything
OK ... my mantra to try and motivate me again ... 'I LOVE to exercise. I LOVE to exercise. Exercise is fun! Exercise is FUN!'
Hmmm.... maybe I have to run around the house singing that today for it to sink in?
Later gals!

Denise

I didn't get up to exercise this morning. Apparently DH woke me up and I went back to sleep (I don't remember this though.) So exercise is going to have to wait until the house is cleaned up. Maybe I can squeeze it in this afternoon.
Christy - great job on losing 10 lbs. It is a gold star in WWs.

I didn't get my workout in this morning but I'm going to put both kids down for a nap in a minute (usually it's only one) so I'm planning on getting something in then. Maybe the treadmill, maybe Wii Active. Maybe both! We'll see how I'm feeling once I get started.
I'm doing pretty decent with the food. Last night we had "Fetu Skinny Alfredo" and roasted cherry tomatoes for dinner. It was really pretty good! And I even made it with whole wheat pasta! Yay me! Tonight is Pecan Crusted Chicken and Roasted Cauliflower (I'm really hoping I don't cut up my hand again ... me and cauliflower don't seem to get along that way. LOL!)
Becca ... I'm going to get in on Jan's workout the first day at least. After that I might workout with her or go for a walk. I'm definitely up for getting in some movement before the action starts. At least for the first couple of days. No guarantees once the lack of sleep takes over. LOL!

I marched with the pipe band in a parade yesterday. It's the first time in two years. I was concerned about making it the last couple of block (uphill) but I made it all the way and felt great.
Got my 50 minute walk in today and have Tai Chi tonight.
Shari, I'd be ecstatic if I lost 5 lbs. in three weeks. I'm lucky if I can achieve one lb. a week.
Blesha, good for you for getting out and walking. I hope it feels good for you to do it.

I had blood drawn this morning and hope for some excellent results from the doctor next week. I have been on the verge of diabetes for a while, so my weight loss and increased activity should make her very happy with me! Not that I'm doing it to please the doctor, but it would be nice to get a pat on the back from her.
Glad to hear you're all doing well despite the temptations offered by the holiday weekend. Let's all get back on track and have an amazing week!

I've been loosely following this thread. There's a ton of activity so I feel like I've missed some info.
I've been doing Barry's Bootcamp on all my non-working days since the 19th. I've lost 4lbs. Which seems really slow considering how much time & effort I'm putting into the workouts and my eating.
I low-carb. I have for years. So, counting calories and keeping white carbs low is relatively easy when I'm working my plan.
Today I finally ordered Chalean and Turbo Jam. I'm not getting sore from the Barry's resistance bands anymore so it's time to step up my game.
I have scanned through the posts and I can't seem to find the one about workouts during convention. I really need to stay motivated during convention. If I go 4 days without exercise, I will have a heck of a time getting remotivated.
Is there a gym at the guest house? Is anyone planning on bringing their weights and DVDs?
I should have my beach body workouts next week. Until then, I'll continue with Barry.
Thanks everyone for letting me jump into the middle of this. And for letting me know what's up at convention.
Hugs,

Help
