Jan, 4 miles is great. It seems odd that your HR monitor would react to sweat. Isn't that kind of the idea behind having one? Can you exchange it?
Silly, awesome job on the skinny jeans. I'm a little green with envy. I grew up near Cocoa Beach and I remember how tough the humidity is. I don't know if I could adapt to it again. The upside was that I didn't need moisurizer like I do in the low humidity climates.
Joann WTG. I'm so proud of you for getting back in the saddle.
V, I hope your ankles feel better. Great job on staying on track.
I did the Burn Intervals and AB Burner today. Those just wipe me out. I'm beginning to feel the effects of the hormones. I'm getting lethargic, irritable and I've already cried once today. It's my dog's 11th birthday today. I was giving him some extra play time and I broke into tears. The worst part is that I know how bad it can get and the dread just makes it worse. I have to keep my mind focused on the goal. But, I still struggle with it.
Thanks for listening.

I've been keeping up the walking. Did two miles in 45 minutes today. That's about the fastest I've done so far. My eating has been good. My weight seems to be stuck for now. I know if I keep at it, that will change. The important thing is that my blood sugars are doing really well.
We're out of town this weekend so that always makes things more challenging. I'll try to be good though. Don't want to lose ground. The motel has a pool so I can get some exercise there.

from cubicle to office (I have an office!! - no raise involved, they needed my cube for equipment) so I got a lot
of walking and lifting in.
I did my Kathy Smith foundation today - I'm getting excited about moving up to the next level!

You all are doing incredibly well! Jan, I can't wait to hear how well you do in this marathon, your training is incredible! Shari - healing is most important right now, I know you will get back up and be working out before no time, you just need to make sure it is safe for you to first. Laurie - congrats on moving up a level, that is AWESOME! Pat - keep up that walking, you are doing great!!! You are helping your body every time you push yourself to do it! Stephanie! Hormones are not fun, I am so sorry! I had to start taking a balancing cream because it was getting so crazy. The workouts will help with that too, so keep it up, you are doing GREAT! I am jealous you are in the push phase, I wish I had not taken my break and had to start over but... there is a reason for everything and we just have to suck it up and move on! V- you have so much going on, great job with pushing yourself to get that walking time it! Silly - AWESOME!!!! I am so excited for you, skinny jeans, I want those!!! Joann - woohoo, you are not giving up, I knew you wouldn't getting started again is hard but worth it, I know, my restart was just 4 weeks ago! T - I hope you are feeling better, I know you are still pushing hard but make sure you give your body to heal! Christy! Woohoo 9 weeks! i can't wait to say that! Congrats to you!
I hope I did not miss anyone, I am keeping up with you all through email notifications and you all are definitely an inspiration! Thank you so much for updating this forum, it does help on those days that you do not want to follow through and work out!
Hugs, Love and Blessings to you all!

Oh, excuse me, just doing a little dance here! Sunday I mapped out a Clean Eating plan and committed to sticking to it. Today is my weigh and measure day. I am down 2 pounds and, best of all, my waist is down to 36", which really makes me happy! Woo Hoo!!! I've got a new exercise program coming, so I expect the Big Brown Truck stops at my door on Monday. It's still too hot to do my usual walking. Can't wait to see my results when I add movement back into the mix.
Congratulations to all of you for sticking to it. For those of you in a slump, it will come back. If I can do it, anyone can! Think I need to dance a little more

Did my 3 laps around the outside of the mall this morning wearing both ankle braces and it was much better. Dad agreed that its probably 1.5 miles each day when I walk around the mall 3x for laps. I got Saturday and Sunday off...but knowing me, I'll be doing some walking tomorrow at the wedding. Saul and Megan my 2 deaf friends finally are getting married tomorrow; a year LATE! LOL. It'll be at River Forks Park where I've never been so I expect to be snapping away pretty good. Layna, Mike and Jamie are not gonna go so its just me this time. I've noticed since this move I'm more active which is good in one way, not so good in the scrapping dept though! LOL. Hopefully I can do some scrapping today!

Tuesday I walked around the soccer/football fields while DD was at practice. Approximately 4.5 miles.
Wednesday and Thursday I did Wii Active workouts 20-30 minutes. I'm worried I won't have time today. I'm at work, then home, then to football game. We'll see.
Thanks for all your help and motivation!
I have a few questions, but I'm gonna read the posts to be sure the answers aren't there. LOL
Keep up the work ladies, and thanks for the motivation!

Laurie, I would definitely count moving boxes as a workout. And...I would add extra calories to the burn if you were wearing pantyhouse or a skirt or any non-athletic shoes. LOL.
Shari, take the time to heal so you can come back strong & resilient.
Dawn, Yay. I'm 2 weeks behind you and I am so looking forward to the 90 day mark. I can't wait to hear how your measurements go and how you like the push phase. WTG.
JoEllen, 2 lbs and reduced inches----Wowee. I'm doing the happy dance with you..
V, you are really doing great. Your tenacity is wonderful.
Sodscrap, keep it up. I'm so glad you are here and checking in with us.
I did Burn Circuit 3 today and the bonus TJ Fat Blaster (which is my favorite TJ wo).
Last week, I hated this cicuit; dreaded doing it today. But, I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed it and even increased my weights on several of the exercises. I can't wait for the next phase. Rah, rah.
I work tomorrow. My goal is to do the TJ Fat Blaster wo afer work tomorrow.

I have not been out running for the parent/child CC race next month and was thinking of just not doing it, but my youngest asked me to be her partner. After doing the elliptical today for 30 minutes, which equated to 2 miles, I think I could do a flatland 1.8 miles, even slowly. I'll keep working on my stamina!
The eating right is pretty easy as long as I stay away from the cookies I bake for the band kids each week....
Cheers to everyone on their progress. You all sticking with it helps me stick with it too!

I finally got myself into a routine. Really don't have much time for the Gym as I want, but I have been doing Leslie Sansone's walking tapes 4 mornings a week. I do 3 miles. On Sunday is my day to head to the gym, where I do my walk/run on the treadmill, and my free weights. Not really how much exercise I want to do, but for now it's what I have time for.

Did a round of cardio stuff this morning at the gym - 10 minutes each of walk, run, stepper, elliptical, spin bike and walk again. The sweat was pouring out by the time I was done!!
Happy healthy weekend to everyone!!

Hey V - you can find resistance bands, etc in Target or Walmart... any place like that. I can't help much with recommendations on videos, I use ChaLEAN Extreme and we have Jillian Michaels (from The Biggest Loser) 30 Day Shred. I don't know if you are looking for something like that or not. DH likes 30 Day Shred because she is not 'nice' like Charlene Johnson. She kicks your butt.

Kim, I love your ownership of your decisions and the fact that you DID exercise. Good job with the cookie temptation too.
Jan, Laurie, Julie & Christy way to keep going.
I got home from work and decided to do the Burn it off & recharge workouts so I could do the Burn Curcuit 1 tomorrow.
See you back here tomorrow after I push play again.

Just got back from the Gym. Did an hour of walk/run on the treadmill, and also did my free weights and resistance band work. Always feel good after working out. Now to make a nice healthy breakfast.

I didn't take measurements before starting this time around but I wish I had... I can see from the measurements, I definitely didn't keep my June measurements (how could I, I worked out very minimally and didn't pay attention to food either!) Oh well, live and learn.
Ok - I am listing all 3 #'s and dates:
where 9/27 6/7 5/3
chest 32 32.5 33.5
arm (left) 10.25 10 11 Now I have definition!!!
arm (right) 10.33 10 11
waist 31.25 30.5 34
hips 41.75 40.5 42.5
abductors 39.5 39 39.5 (Can we say problem spot???)
thigh (left) 20 20 20.5
thigh (right) 19.5 20 20.5
I can't wait to update you the end of October! I predict much bigger changes!

Great going, Julie! There's nothing like the high that exercise brings, is there!
And I'm on it, although ready to EAT, too! Mike and I ran 6.5 miles this morning! Woo-hooo! I felt pretty good most of the way. My legs were getting sore by the end, but I could have kept going. So yaay! We did it! We did it!
Have a great day, everyone!

Julie, awesome job.
Dawn, thank-you for sharing your measurements. They look great. Those lost inches must be so gratifying.
Kim, I got the biggest grin thinking of you pulling the podium. What a great mom and band mate you are. I bet your legs are getting some great muscles.
I did Burn Ciruit 1 and Fat Blaster today. Tonight is my last set of hormones and then it will be 5 days before I have enough out of my body to feel well again. I'm so tired & irritable. It's no wonder I gained 60 pounds taking these for 3 years.
We had a potluck at work yesterday (again). I avoided all sweets but I did have some chicken enchiladas which were the non-fried, healthy version. The carbs in the tortillas threw the scale up a little today. Since it's water weight, it will come off tomorrow. I was very proud of myself given all the hormones and mood swings. It takes all my effort to stay mellow at work and stick to my healthy lifestyle. Can't wait for the next 7 days to pass.
My goal for tomorrow is to take a rest day. I know that sounds funny. I've been focused on making sure I press play on workdays. Just to prove to myself that I can do it.
See you back here tomorrow.

Way to go Dawn! Those measurements are a great motivator to keep going, aren't they??
Keep up the great work girls! I have to say when I am doing a workout at the gym, I think about you guys. It helps me to push harder when I think about someone else 'pushing play' too!
So, I have some before and afters to share:
