HP online has their Photosmart B8550 Wide-format printer on sale for only $149 (regular $299)! That does have the individual ink cartridges, so it is a pretty good deal if you are in the market for an inexpensive way to print your 12 x 12 layouts.

Office Depot had the HP 1700 wide format printer on sale a few weeks ago at $179. This certainly sounds like a better deal. I'll have to check it out and see how the two compare. Not that I have any money to spend right now anyway.

Well, this may have just answered my question about printers that print 12 x 12 layouts - but I do not recall seeing them in Staples or Best Buy - where do you find them?

That deal was online - hp.com! If you go online and 'shop' (my favorite thing) you will find excellent deals from HP, Amazon, Newegg, TigerDirect... Do some price shopping! I do not see that HP has that printer on sale any more, but keep watching - we are getting into the shopping season and there should be some great deals out there! Will keep a look out for you!

and the HP wide-format printers just last & last... I have one in my business that's still going, after at least 9 years. My semi-recent Photosmart (slightly older than the 8550 mentioned above,) prints beautifully. Sounds like a deal!
