I have a message on my computer to update vista with service pack 2.
do I want to do that?
I am leaving for Utah on Weds. and I don't know if I want to bother with this right now LOL.
Are there any issues with this one?

We did on three computers, no problems. DH's brother has a computer/networking business and he recommended to do it. It did take about 1 hour!

when it comes to those types of upgrades, everyone i know in the computer world says yes do it! those service packs fix all kinds of things from security issues, to database issues... and more.

Yes! please go ahead and do it. It does take about an hour, but I've had no problems because of it. Better yet, it freed up about 17 GB of space--I think it cleared out all the old incremental updates.
