I made it. Yesterday was one of the longest, hardest days I've had in a while, and I have plenty of those days. I worked 15 hours, got home about 8:30 last night, did a load of laundry so I could pack, started packing and finally collapsed in bed about 11 pm. Up at 3 this am to finish packing (got the suitcase zipped as my DIL was pulling the car out of the garage), Got to the airport, checked in, boarded the plane and to sleep about 3 minutes after we left the gate. for awhile I didn't think I would get it all together in time. We were just coming over the mountains when the sun was coming up. What a beautiful welcome to SLC! Right now I'm sitting in the airport by baggage claim, waiting for Barb to get here in another hour. Then convention week will really start in earnest. We plan on going out to lunch, checking into the guest house, a little rest, Meet Dianna, Lou Ann, and Silly and whoever else is here. Out to dinner tonight. Up the canyons for sight seeing tomorrow. What a great vacation this is for me. Cannot wait for all the rest of you to get here. Oh, yeah, found fuzzy purple slipper sock thingies at the airport gift shop.

Sandi, it sounds like you need the rest time you've built into your schedule today. Though, I imagine with all the excitement it is going to be hard to sleep. Enjoy your trip to the canyons tomorrow.

I've been sitting here catching up on email, this MB, and FB. Seems like a lot of SGs are in the air right this minute. The excitement is building. I'm just sitting here grinning. I feel like a little kid at Christmas. I plan on nonstop laughter for the next 6 days...ok, I'll hold it back during classes. I'll post some photos later this afternoon.

Just saw this Sandi. I hope you Barb and the others have a great time today! I have friend named Brian from Oklahoma who lives in Park City (in the canyon) that facebooked earlier today and said it was 21 degrees at his house this morning!
We're going to try to get together for coffee or something while I'm there.
I have a group of friends from high school (Bartlesville,OK) that e-mail each other, and most of us are on facebook with our other high school friends, too. Brian is sweet enough to let us know when he's in OK visiting his dad, so we can get together. He sent pictures of the drive between Park City and SLC to the group last year. Just Gorgeous! Never dreamed at the time I'd be visiting there! Can't wait to see it in person!
Did you see the pictures Ro posted of her picnic with the two other ladies not too long ago? Beautiful area! Is there a lot of fall color?

I flew in from OKC yesterday morning and it rained all afternoon in SLC. I am staying in Park City at a timeshare and it snowed last night and all day snowtoday until about 3:00 pm. It was cold and wet. We did geocaching today in Park City in the snow. The trees in the canyon are georgeous colors and along with the dusting of snow it is beautiful. I will be driving in each day but hope to have plenty of fun and games. My husband and I are going to sight see in SLC tomorrow. Glad I'm here!!
