Well, the last couple of days have been average - not really bad, but not good either...just coasting. My oldest son came up for the weekend, we spent the whole day together on Sunday...took the dogs for a hike, the fresh air felt good and so did the exercise. We talked, some heart to heart conversations and some everyday normal small talk. It was a good day. When he left that evening, he hugged me several times, told me to try to enjoy outside, enjoy my little dog Brandy (she's my snuggle buddy and soooo good for me) and to remember that he loves me and will always be there for me. While driving down our long laneway, he hollered "I love you Mom" over and over again - he has such a caring heart. My husband and I watched some favourite shows on TV after my son left and talked for a bit - just enjoyable small talk. I think he was trying to keep me busy and mind-occupied so I wouldn't sink into a low from my son leaving, which always happens. So, the deep low was kept at bay for the night, but I felt very melancholy and down and bored and sad and quiet and not interested in anything the next day. So, my husband called our neighbours and had them come over in the afternoon for a visit, again trying to keep me mind-occupied. It helped while they were here. My appointment with my nurse practitioner is for the 14th of October, so will keep trying to get energized and motivated to keep busy til then. Going down to my son's house on Saturday to watch my little grandbaby overnight, so that will help...til I leave to come home again... my mood drops drastically whenever I leave or whenever family leaves here. But I will try to focus on enjoying the time I'm there. Laying in bed or sleeping for a lot of my time...or down on the couch staring at the TV. Did a couple of scrap layouts over the last couple of days, posted them, enjoyed doing them, but with the enthusiam that I usually have while doing them. Anyways, so not desperate days...just drifting through them. Thanks again, Tracy

What a wonderful, sweet, kind, and caring son you have! Keep doing anything that makes you happy and exercise by going for walks. Fresh air is good! God Bless, and put a smile on your face even if you don't at first feel like it. Know that God loves YOU where you are at and always!

Stay with it Tracy. Sounds like you are doing your best to stay on an even keel. Try to always have something to look forward to, even if it means halving the real-time good time. You know what I mean? Take the joy for now, but save just a bit for the future.

You are doing good! You are thinking about being on top. I have every confidence in you. You will make it through.

Good to hear from you Tracy. Seems like you're taking one day at a time. That's good.

Tracy, sometimes we need something chemical to help with the imbalance. I'm not trying to push drugs on you but it has helped me a lot.

I'm glad that you are finding joy in visits, the outdoors and your little dog. Do try to get out as often as you can and walk.

Dogs are the world's best therapists, aren't they?
Nothing like that unconditional love.
