I got home this afternoon! Yup, I only traveled to the next state, Arizona! We spent Sunday visiting SLC. Monday we headed south and visited several little towns. I was pleasantly surprised to see Kaye's face plastered on posters in one little town.

We stopped to visit Cove Fort, many gorgeous geological wonders, a cave, BestFriends.org animal sanctuary, The Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Vermillion Cliffs, Laek Powell, Glen Canyon, and into Flagstaff. We stayed the night in Flagstaff and made it home this morning. We had time, and I had NO energy, so we took it slow, stopping for internet breaks and touristy things. I was AMAZED at the different rock formations I saw heading into Arizona. I'd never driven north of the Grand Canyon before. What BEAUTIFUL country side we saw! I have to go back one day.

Yesterday I saw a coyote up close near Lake Powell, a jack rabbit, and road runner. A snake slithered near my foot at Cove Fort. In Glen Canyon, I watched 4 ravens gliding on the wind and playing together, for a full 15 minutes. I was enthralled.

Once home, my estranged daughter allowed my two granddaughters to come visit for 2 hours! What a perfect ending to a wonderful trip.

We left August 8, to Alamosa, CO. Then to Bakersfield, CA, due to to family deaths in my husband's family, then to Denver, to Alamosa, to Salt Lake City, to Phoenix!

My husband just came in with a bag of Hershey's kisses, and my favorite show, Grey's Anatomy is on. A perfect ending to a perfect trip! (Oh, except for losing our brakes on Monarch Pass! LOL)

Thanks everyone, again! I enjoyed the convention, and left having made several new friends, especially Bobbi Jo!

I'm glad to hear you are home safely. I hope you took lots of pics on your extended travels.

You might not be the last one home. :) I know Thess was planning on traveling too. I haven't heard if she is back home in Sweden yet.

Our stragglers are checking in. LOL :) So glad to hear you made it home safe and sound....and that you had a great time at convention! If there was a prize for the most pleasant trip home, you'd be in the running for first place!

That sounds like a wonderful trip home. I look forward to having the time to do some RV traveling. For now my life is the hurry home to the little ones stage.

You know? The convention really DID go fast this year! I arrived Mon morning and it was just Go, go, Go
until we stopped to catch our breath at SLC airport!

I talked my DH ear off on the way home, and then noticed he was also "listening" to a game!
Now I am reliving my experience in the galleries and organizing my pics and materials.

Such great memories were made! (I am SURE that the motel is glad to have their dining room back! I think we
almost upstaged their 10th anniversary celebration!)
