I printed 50 copies of my son's graduation invitation through Photoshop this afternoon--everything worked fine. I turned the computer on this evening and for some reason I am unable to print through any of my photo editing software! If I go to the printer tool box and click "print test page" it works perfectly, but I can't print through Photoshop or Picture It!. I go through all the steps and it does everything it normally does but the printer never makes a sound. Has this ever happened to anyone else? This is just too weird.

Sounds odd, but then arent all electronic things? When I am stumped (like when my internet connection suddenly decided yesterday that it was NOT connecting) I just shut everything down and reboot. You might even try unplugging the printers USB (or whatever connection you have) from the computer and then plug it back. Of course there is always the possibility that it is a blond moment like I have had - it ran out of paper! Ok, probably not. I would try the reboot. Does it print from other programs?

Does your printer have a reset button? When I have printer issues I press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to reset it and it usually works fine after that.

Good Luck

When my HP psc printer acts up, I restart my computer and it usually resolves the problem. Is your's working now?

I tried rebootoing, I tried unplugging the printer and waiting, then plugging everything back in--nothing worked. Then all of a sudden it started working again. Who knows what happened, all I know is that I'm happy that it's working again. I just hope this isn't going to be a recurring problem!
