Magazine Storage Ideas?

I have far too many magazines I don't want to part with, but can no longer fit where I have them. They're currently in several boxes on shelves in my room. This was working, but we've had to move some things around and now I don't have anyspace for the shelves! Any 'emergency' ideas? They don;t have to be readily accesible or on display necessarily and there are about 60 of them.

I had that problem and I solved it by going through the mags and pulling out the articles that I was interested in. Three hole punched them and into a 3" three ring binder they went. It's amazing how much space you save that way.

And I've yet to come across a magazine that I want to save every page in it. Hope that helps.

Thank you. I usually have less than a dozen pages I really want to keep out of Architectural Digest, Oprah or Vogue. A 3-hole punch. Now why didn't I think of that?

I have a hard time throwing out magazines... because you never know when I might need one of those articles/recipes. So maybe I should try the 3-ring binder technique. No reason to save all those advertisements.

I get so many sewing and fashion magazines, but not all of the articles or pictures (I use the fashion mags to inform my sewing and inspire my own outfit selection). So, I do the binders with page protectors. My fashion binder is sorted by season and my sewing binders are sorted by fitting/alterations, accessories (scarves, handbags, hats, etc.), baby, pattern-free sewing and then sewing ideas.

As soon as I get my mag, I go through it cover-to-cover and then I go through it again and tear-out my sheets and file them. Then every so often (once or twice a year) I go through my binders and remove those articles/images that I no longer like or don't feel I will use.

Saves tons of space and time!
