It is always better to fail in doing something than to excel in doing nothing.

Wife to my sweetheart for 13 wonderful years. Mother to three darling children, two girls and a boy.

So.........my favorite quote that I can think of off the top of my head is one I put in my baby's book...a decade ago:
"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take
but by the moments that take our breath away."
Have no idea where I first heard it but it just fit right in with the feelings I had when I was a new mom!

Something I always told my children when they were growing up about gossiping, and still a favorite of mine.

Dance as if no one were watching,
Sing as if no one were listening,
And live every day as if it were your last

A little seed lay in the ground
And soon began to sprout
"Now which of all the flowers around,
Shall I," it mused, "come out?"
And so it criticized each flower, that supercilious seed,
Until it woke one summer hour
And found ITSELF a weed!
When you see faults in someone else
Before you criticize, beware:
For you have flaws and failures too
That others have to bear
BE PATIENT WITH THE FAULTS OF OTHERS - THEY HAVE TO BE PATIENT WITH YOURS!
I love this poem - I read it every morning and I used it in a layout for my granddaughter who was having a problem with a friend she had been friends with for years and suddenly was finding fault with everything she did - my granddaughter used it in her school paper and got an A plus on what she wrote which included this quote and my layout! I was so tickled and my gd learned something from this poem quote.

Here is an excerpt from Sandi's opening post:
So often I love to add a quote to my LOs, on my desktop, to my siggy, on a card. There are tons of great quotes out there, we have an ebook of quotes, there are tons of books just for scrappers with quotes, but I love to browse the online quote sites... Let's start our own library here... Let's see how many we can get. if you use one, tell us how you used it and if you used it on something in the gallery, give us a link.
Best friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words. - Unknown

Author: A.A. Milne -- Winnie the Pool
I LOVE Winnie the Pooh quotes - used this one in a layout for one of my younger grandkids when he announced that he had found his best, best, best friend in the whole wide world and that they would be friends forever and ever and ever and ever - his exact words! So I had a great pic of them together and did the layout around this quote!
