As many of you know, we adopted Annabelle from South Korea in 2007. She'll be 3 in weeks, too. Where does the time go?! Anyway, shortly after we came home and finalized her adoption here in the States, we began the application process for another baby from South Korea. Our homestudy went to Korea this past April and we have been on our agency's waiting list(for a girl) ever since. Well, I just found out that we are number one on that waiting list (out of 26) and number one over all the families waiting for referral of a boy or a girl. So the next baby girl who comes along, might just be our daughter! Please pray she comes to us soon! We are ready, and Annabelle talks constantly about "her sister in Korea" , though the girls will not be blood related. Annabelle is anticipating this just as much as we are, and it has been way super cute to watch her stock pile diapers in the closet for her sister and start donating her toys to her sister, whom we have never met or seen yet. Oohh, I am excited tonight. Cautiously excited, but excited!

Oh, Beth - how exciting and wonderful for you - being an adoptive parent I know the feeling well. I am just so happy that you are going to be a family of four now! What could make it any better! My thoughts and prayers are with you as you travel this journey and I hope it happens very soon for you. Congratulations!

Oooh Beth - how exciting for everyone involved! Fingers and toes crossed that she'll get here soon!!
As a child of adoption I think it's amazing what you do!! I am thankful for the family that adopted me all of those years ago and even though my brothers and sisters weren't my 'blood siblings' it made no difference we were family!!
I can't wait for LOs!!! Woohoo!!

I just bought a "big sister" ornament....just in case! Thanks for all your prayers and celebration along with me- celebrating anticipation. Just like with Christmas, as we prepare for the arrival of Christ into the world on Christmas day, I find my family making preparations for this wee little one whom we do not know yet. But we feel love for her, in every way.

That is the most exciting news. As an adoptive parent that waiting is soooo hard; but when you have that new one in your arms and look back, it seems like a fleeting moment in time. Hugs to each of you during as you anxiously await the arrival of a little sister for Annabelle.

I love knowing my kids have SG aunties! You have no idea how much a part of Annabelle's life(and mine)you all are. Really. The kid knows purple, loves purple, hears purple talk at home (LOL...our code for SG going ons) and knows Mommy has "purple" friends on the computer. Like you all live in my hard drive or something...LOL.
Hopefully in 2010 you will see me and my 2 girls and hubby at convention.... and we will all be purple!
