I enjoy the flavor of ham more than turkey but, my vote is for turkey, less preservatives and pork is not as healthy, also I love turkey sandwiches!

We usually have both. I am not a ham fan but, the rest of my family is...We also love the leftovers ;)

I personally Love me some turkey! I am cooking one on my own for the first time this year, Hope I don't screw it up! LOL

Turkey for Thanksgiving, ham for Christmas, and the tradition of the last few years in order to make things easy on Christmas Eve is chili and hot hoagie sandwiches. I make the chili ahead of time and everybody makes their own sandwich.

My dad's family always had lutefisk (if you don't know, don't ask) for Christmas Eve, so when my brother was old enough to run a grill, he started making steak for Mom, himself and me. I'll miss him this year. :)

I bet you do miss him! I think I miss him, too! ;)

Oh, and I do sort of know what lutefisk is, although I've never had it. Have you read Lauraine Snelling's books? Great series about a family of Norwegian immigrants. I learned a lot about the food from reading that. I'm assuming lutefisk is a Norwegian dish, or from somewhere near!

Always Turkey. I dislike eating ham. But my vote in the family doesn't count for anything.

Oooh - just saw this thread pop up again today - we have Turkey Christmas Day - but my daughter makes homemade tamales for Christmas Eve and they are scrumptious! If we aren't with Debbie on Christmas Eve I do the cold cuts things with lots of dips and veggies and we just eat while we celebrate!
