I did have problems with the newer driver for my Bamboo Fun; I had to delete the driver and install an older one so that Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop would not crash. I had to reinstall not the newest driver, and not the next one but the third oldest driver to get my wacom tablet to work properly with Windows 7, Illustrator and Photoshop. Something about the newest driver makes Adobe Illustrator crash, so perhaps it's the driver that's making Lightroom crash too? Hope it works for you to install an older driver!
