If you're looking for a great and fast read, check out Half Broke Horses by Jeannette Walls...it's a terrific book that I can't recommend highly enough. I just finished it over the weekend and it's one of those that you hate to have end--it was that good.

Anyway, just my two cents. :)

Adding my raves about Half Broke Horses. It's sort of a prequel to The Glass Castle. If you haven't read that one, you might give some thought to reading it first...you will be riveted by both. Amazing stories!

And if you're in the mood for a quirky little Christmas story, you just have to check out Wishin' and Hopin' by Wally Lamb. Lamb is noted for lengthy novels with intense themes. This little book is such a departure for him. It's a very quick read, and I guarantee you will be laughing out loud.

I'm on the waiting list for Glass Castle at the library...can't wait to get it!

Thanks for the Wally Lamb tip...I love his books, so I'll check that one out. Thanks Ann!
