With the New Year just around the corner, I was thinking about all the 2009 resolutions that have still not been completed. I am a procrastinator and still have several that are incomplete. Now, I still have a few days left so I may still be able to mark some off my list. I cannot finished these task until I finish Holiday Hoopla and of course I am behind on that also.

How many of you accomplished all of your 2009 resolutions.

Well, I didn't even do ONE LO of SG52, BUT I am only 3 LOs away from completing my dd's graduation album! Over 120 pages!

Don't remember if I made any resolutions for 2009, though....LOL

I rarely make resolutions except to be more fit and eat better. I always try, but rarely make my goal. I will try again this year.

I do goals, rather than resolutions - seems less intimidating.
And while I haven't reached my goals, I have made progress in all of them. And they're still good goals!

I'm like Gayle, no resolutions, but I do this time of year do a reflection on what I've accomplished and what still needs work. I make a list of about 50 goals, some big some trivial. I then prioritize them. I take the top ten (and I do include some of the trivial ones and fun ones) and work through the steps it will take to accomplish those goals. I also group them in to immediate (I've got to get my mammogram and colonoscopy), short term (the deck needs to be painted), and longer term (I'm going to go on a cruise to Alaska). I include personal growth goals, financial goals, health and fitness goals, travel goals, professional goals, yep, even scrapbook album goals. I keep this all in a notebook and start a new notebook every year. Things change and I can re-evaluate whenever the need arises and also discard some and add others. When I've accomplished one goal, I move another into the active section. it does help me stay focused, but I have to admit, that notebook and my goal can sit idle on the shelf for a long time.

I don't normally do New Years Resolutions, but I do set goals for myself. I told DH that my goal for this year coming up was going to be to simplify; my life and our home. I am already thinking about ways I can do that.

I do goals, too, but they have to be very specific and measurable. On top of my incomplete list for 2010 is to clean and straighten my sewing room. It's such a mess that I don't even want to go in there! So, a tidy work area that will allow me to get back to quilting...that's my #1 goal for the new year.

Ann, maybe you and I need to keep each other honest on organizing/tidying up our sewing space!
